From 19 February you can apply for a five-month paid traineeship at REA in Brussels, Belgium. The traineeship is part of the European Commission's Blue Book traineeship scheme, open to eligible candidates. If you apply for the autumn session, your traineeship journey will start in October 2024 and finish at the end of February 2025.

Applicants can always re-apply to the traineeship. The application for the March 2024 session opened on July 18th, 2023 and closes on August 31st at 10:00 AM CEST / Brussels Time. Given the time zone difference between the Americas and Europe, we recommend completing your application the day prior at the latest.

The programme got its name from the "blue book" in which pre-selected candidates' names were listed in the pre-internet age.
