Marketing:
• Understand regional, state, and national dynamics within their region to promote Hubbell as a market leader in electrical grid automation
• Develop and maintain a network of contacts within utility management, project teams, channel partners, and industry stakeholders

• Advocates to customer's stakeholders to drive and acquire funding mechanisms to expand market opportunities
• Leads the various segment sales resources in analyzing accounts within the assigned territory and developing actionable sales plans and long-term account engagement strategies to grow Hubbell's installed base of Intelligent Grid Systems
• Assess competitor offerings and develop differentiated market approaches
• Develops and leads implementation of long-term account-based marketing campaigns

Sales Activities:

Sales Channel Management:
• Collaborates with Sales Channel Leadership to evaluate, establish and maintain a network of independent sales agents/distributors
• Leads transactional operating rhythm for sales channels within assigned region across Intelligent Grid product lines
• Assigns, directs, and supports the efforts of agents/distributors
• Supervise agents/distributors within assigned territory
• Keeps Sales, Customer Technical Service teams, and other Hubbell personnel informed of agent/distributors assignments
• Ensures implementation of current Hubbell policies and procedures for sales agents/distributors
• Applies systematic reviews to evaluate all agents/distributors under their jurisdiction for compliance with established procedures and identify training needs
• Keeps agent/distributor contracts on a current basis in conjunction with Sales Channel Leadership
• Integrates Hubbell strategies through their assigned agents/distributors to achieve objectives and goals
• Accepts the lead role in coordinating project and quotation activities between agencies (and Regions) to maximize sales opportunities

Educational and Experience Requirements:
• BS in Engineering, preference in Electrical Engineering. MBA a plus.

• 10+ years of experience in sales, commercial, or product management roles with particular emphasis in working across multiple product lines and structuring and securing large complex and long-cycle sales efforts within a matrix environment.

• Strong commercial/contracting abilities with demonstrated success in negotiating and securing large complex transactions.
• Familiarity with the current laws, regulations, and commercial aspects of importing and exporting, such as letters of credit, Incoterms, performance bonds, tariff codes, bid bonds, penalty clauses, currency hedging, etc.
• Demonstrated ability to lead in a matrix environment.
• Knowledge of Hubbell and competitor products and services and their applications in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric power, and power quality measurement.
• Knowledge of utility back-office integrations for AMI and distribution automation applications.
• Knowledge of the application of domestic and international electrical standards, such as UL, IEC, ANSI, IEEE and CE, and local laboratory certificate requirements.
• Ability to write and publish technical papers.

Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and will be discussed during the interview process. The salary range for this role is $140,000 - $190,000 per year. This position offers a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Summary

The Grid Performance Center Senior Engineer will perform as engineering project leader leveraging PMU, power quality, AMI, SCADA measurements and other data to monitor, report on, and enhance the electrical performance of the transmission and distribution system.

Five (5) years full time experience actively engaged in engineering practice. Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for the job of Senior Engineer.

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution, ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) or any state or internationally recognized PE registration.

Testing and Certifications

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities:
• Exchange of existing Electric Utility Meters and Installation of Module Upgrades to Gas and Electric Meters.
• Identifies and reports all hazardous working conditions and specifically those hazardous conditions that prohibit the safe exchange of meters to management.
• Performs up to standards within time frames outlined by Field Supervisor and Project Manager.
• Commitment to customer service by responding to the needs of internal and external customer.
• Completes all work in an organized, timely manner, within the instructed standard procedure.
• Sets appropriate priorities and works in accordance with legal hours worked policy and all safety requirements as outlined within Corporate Policy and Procedures.
• Day, Evening and Weekend Shifts. Some overtime and weekend hours may at times be required.
• Commitment to complete work assignments and high meter reading accuracy.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Self-motivated with ability to work with little supervision.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
• Ability to read meters and willingness to learn to operate new equipment and implement new procedures.
• Ability to comprehend new hand-held technology, i.e., Cell Phones, GPS, PDAs, and Digital Cameras.
• Strong Directional Skills: Ability to read and understand maps via GPS instruments and websites, i.e., Garmins, Tom Toms, Yahoo Maps, MapQuest, etc.
• Able to read written instructions, write legibly, understand verbal instruction, make simple computations, complete daily work assignments and transpose numbers accurately.
• Physical capacity to withstand exposure to all kinds of weather while completing the work assignment.
• Ability to communicate professionally and deal effectively with unexpected situations on customer premises such as irate customers, unfriendly dogs, meter tampering and the unexpected.
Education & Experience:
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
Pre-Screen:
• Upon offer, employees may be required to complete and pass a pre-employment drug screen, background, and/or MVR check.
License & Certifications:
• Driver License Required.

Summary

The Grid Performance Center Senior Engineer will perform as engineering project leader leveraging PMU, power quality, AMI, SCADA measurements and other data to monitor, report on, and enhance the electrical performance of the transmission and distribution system.

What You'll Do
• Perform as engineering project leader leveraging PMU, power quality, AMI, SCADA measurements and other data to monitor, report on, and enhance the electrical performance of the transmission and distribution system.
• Support the integration of Inverter-Based-Resources (IBRs) including solar, battery, and wind.
• Leads complex troubleshooting of urgent, system-wide electrical grid performance issues and implementation of remedial measures.
• Perform engineering design work and engineering analyses with emphasis on grid performance and data quality.
• Responsible for detecting and remediating measurement and model issues impacting the successful planning and operation of the grid.
• Proposes technical solutions with a data focus.
• Evaluates existing and proposed systems and recommend upgrades and/or modifications.
• Design and/or codes computer programs.
• Prepare and/or conduct written and oral reports and presentations.
• Prepare recommendation material for management consideration.
• Administer and review work performed by consultants and others.
• Perform field engineering work.
• Responsible for project budgets and schedules.

Experience

Five (5) years full time experience actively engaged in engineering practice. Must have demonstrated the successful accomplishment of work of the nature defined for the job of Senior Engineer.

Promotion to Level 2 requires a minimum of two years of experience at Level 1; demonstrated capability to perform advanced and more difficult work as determined by the supervisor. Promotion to Senior Level requires a minimum of three years of experience at Level 2; is fully competent in all aspects of functional area of assignment and as such would be recognized as a specialist in area of assignment and may have periodic or occasional lead responsibilities.

Education

Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum, an International Engineering Alliance (IEA) recognized institution, ABET Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA) or any state or internationally recognized PE registration.

Testing and Certifications

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

Hybrid Workplace
