This is a safety/security sensitive position for purposes of the Arkansas Medical Marijuana Amendment.
• Provide good customer service to both internal and external customers, maintain positive and effective working relationships with other City employees (especially members of their own team), and have regular and reliable attendance that is non-disruptive.
• The incumbent is responsible for connecting and disconnecting water services, and performing disconnection and reconnection of past due accounts. Perform various customer relate requests such as leak detection and pressure/flow test.
• Connect and disconnect water services for normal services.
• Connect and disconnect past due accounts.
• Inspect the City's public water systems and the customer's private water system for leaks.
• Assist other City employees, customers and private contractors with solving problems.
• Run pressure and flow test on the City's public water systems and the customer's private water systems.
• Inspect new water taps for proper location and serving the correct location.
• Install new water meters at new location and replace old water meters.
• Maintain daily activity reports and prepare reports for utility billing office.
• Read water meter when necessary.

Summary

Functions
Researches law from statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treatises, codes and constitutions, and prepares legal memos, briefs, motions and other pleadings for review, approval and use by agency attorneys. Coordinates the activities of a legal section/office as directed by supervisor. Prepares drafts of new or amended legislation or regulations pertinent to the agency's mission. Investigates issues and situations, gathers facts and evidence, conducts interviews with affected employee(s) and witnesses, and provides documentation to assist attorneys in preparation for investigations. Provides technical assistance to agency personnel in analysis, interpretation and application of laws, rules, regulations and agency policies. Files legal documents as directed by the Attorney Supervisor in the appropriate court(s). Establishes and maintains legal reference files. May serve as lead worker by providing training, establishing work plans, and reviewing work performed to ensure technical accuracy and compliance. Performs other duties as assigned.
