The Ebook Testing Manager will manage the various testing processes that are integral to our tool development and ebook production processes. The Ebook Testing Manager will work closely with the VP, Ebook Technologies, the SVP, Digital Product Development and Operations, the Ebook technical team, and the Ebook production teams. They will test and implement best practices and share new ideas as technology improvements are made across our production tools and digital products. We are looking for a detail-oriented, meticulous self-starter who is accountable, passionate, assertive, proactive, adaptable, and results oriented.
Responsiblities:
• Takes responsibility for testing of our internal tool sets, as well as in-market device testing
• Design manual and automated testing processes, testing plans, and test cases
• Perform the following types of tests manually and/or using test automation tools: system, functional, regression, integration, and usability
• Develop a comprehensive framework for software testing and organize testing activities for new and existing releases
• Coordinate between the development team and any other testing group
• Play a strategic role in the overall design and implementation of the testing program
• Maintain the overall quality of the tool suites and oversee all stages of testing
Requirements:
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in software testing, with a thorough knowledge of software development lifecycle principles and testing methodology
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in working with developers, project and release managers, system administrators, business analysts, and database administrators
• 1-2 years working with test automation
• Proven ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
• Experience working in close partnership with cross-functional teams and management
• Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and problem-solving ability
• Must be a self-starter that can self-manage their daily workload
• Ability to work independently (self-driven, focused, and analytical)
• Passionate about quality and seeing things to completion
• Passion for learning - remaining current on new technologies
• 3-5 years of experience in a software testing role
• Knowledge of EPUB, Adobe Creative Suite, Python, JIRA, and GIT a plus
The salary for this position is $70,000. All positions are currently eligible for annual profit award or bonus, subject to Company results.
