Reviews and monitors service failures with appropriate staff and motor carriers to eliminate future occurrences and to ensure corrective action is taken. Responsible and accountable for all employees reporting directly or indirectly to this position and for ensuring company policy is communicated and followed. Proactively communicates cross-functionally to eliminate controllable service exceptions and accessorial costs. Identifies opportunities for appointment adjustments and coordinates cross-functionally to maximize carrier utilization and on-time service.
Additional Responsibilities:
Ability to draw upon 2+ years of management experience in an intermodal capacity and 2+ years’ experience managing carrier services. Possesses technical expertise with governmental regulatory rules and procedures for overweight, out-of-gauge and hazardous cargo. Possess a proven track record in monitoring and meeting departmental performance and financial metrics. Experience overseeing expenditures exceeding $30,000,000 annually is a plus.
