MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Maintain efficient through put of assigned Haunted Houses or Shows by efficiently loading and unloading guests. Assists guests while in a venue or show by providing direction, enforcing restrictions, monitoring crowds, performing crowd control duties and addressing safety concerns. Ensure safe behavior of guests, Scare-Actors and Entertainers in conjunction with the Entertainment Coordinators and Stage Managers.
• Provide over-the-top service by engaging the guest and evoking the theme or story-line of the assigned area. Enthusiastically greet and welcome guests and engage in positive, polite and friendly manner when monitoring the queue area and providing direction or safety instructions.
• Understand and actively participate in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High school degree or GED is required.

EXPERIENCE:

1 year of operational experience, specifically operating a Theme Park Attraction is preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

As a Design Manager specializing in Attractions, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and realizing innovative and immersive experiences. This leadership position demands a creative visionary with a keen understanding of design principles, project management, and the ability to lead a multidisciplinary team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the conceptualization, development, and execution of attractions that captivate and engage audiences, ensuring they align with the organization's brand, goals, and guest experience objectives.

Essential Functions
• Conceptualization and Ideation:
• Participate in brainstorming sessions and design charrettes to generate creative and compelling concepts for attractions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with overall project objectives, budget constraints, and technical feasibility.
• Design Development:
• Provide artistic direction and guidance during the development of attraction concepts, ensuring alignment with the established design vision.
• Oversee the creation of detailed design documentation, including concept art, storyboards, and schematics.
• Team Leadership:
• Manage and inspire a team of designers, artists, and engineers to achieve project goals.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment, encouraging the team to push creative boundaries.
• Project Management:
• Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure efficient workflow and timely delivery of design milestones.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with stakeholders, including marketing, operations, and engineering teams, to integrate design concepts seamlessly into the overall project framework.
• Collaborate with external vendors, consultants, and contractors to bring design concepts to fruition.
• Quality Assurance:
• Conduct regular design reviews to ensure the highest level of quality and alignment with project goals.
• Address and resolve design-related issues that may arise during the development process.
• Trends and Innovation:
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and innovations within the attractions and entertainment sector.
• Integrate cutting-edge design elements to enhance the guest experience and maintain the organization's competitive edge.

Job Qualifications And Requirements
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Design, Architecture, or a related field.
• Proven experience in a senior design role within the attractions or entertainment industry.
• Strong portfolio showcasing successful attraction design projects.
• Exceptional leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (particularly PowerPoint and Excel), Revit, AutoCAD, and other relevant design software.
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
• Must have or be able to quickly acquire knowledge of company structure (mission, goals, and objectives), and policies and procedures.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• Some knowledge of amusement equipment is preferred but not required
• Work flexibility (nights, weekends and holidays, as needed)
• Basic working knowledge of hand tools
• General knowledge of related OSHA regulations and safety practices

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Work in a noisy, fast-paced environment with distracting conditions
