Overview:

As a Junior Dean, you will work collaboratively with other Junior Deans (commonly a team of 3) to support the Programme Director in ensuring the overall success of an elite summer programme. The focus of the role is on the implementation of a busy activity timetable made up of activities and events outside the classroom, which you will achieve through leading a team of Counsellors with thorough and professional planning.

This role would suit a natural leader and communicator who is highly organised, self motivated and resilient. The role involves a large degree of planning as well as the need for clear delegation and communication with your team.

Key Responsibilities:

Student Safety:
• Oversee the implementation of safety measures and ensure adherence to safeguarding policies throughout the program.
• Respond promptly and effectively to any safety or welfare concerns, prioritising the well-being of all participants.
• Implement student supervision processes accurately and efficiently.
• Contribute to the creation of a safe environment for both students and staff members through diligence, organisation and respect for all.

Representing Oxford Royale:

Student Experience:

Job Description

The Airport Transfers Counsellor will be responsible for allocated terminals on either John F Kennedy, NY, or San Farncisco, CA airports. This person will contribute to the successful operation of our US airport transfers service, ensuring that hundreds of students reach their campus (Yale or Berkeley) from US Airports in a safe, orderly and timely fashion. Responsibilities will include the checking and update of Risk Assessment documentation, liaison with third-party transport providers (typically local coach and taxi companies) to check on the required transport, attendance for arrivals and departures, and more.

Reporting to the Airport Transfers Coordinator, the Airport Transfers Coordinator has full responsibility for particular terminals on transfer days. You will be responsible for the safe arrival of each day's participants at their destination and you will be able to demonstrate wide awareness and experience of welfare and safeguarding of High-School aged participants.

On transfer arrival days, you will be the main point of contact for your allocated terminals, between the airport team, the Admissions Department (who will liaise with parents), staff members on the ground (mainly at JFK and SFO Airports), external contractors and campus staff who will be waiting for students at their destination campuses. You will also monitor student progress on their journey via the systems you will create in the planning phase. It will be your responsibility to ensure all students are met with an outstanding first impression of Oxford Royale, and reach their destination in the safest, quickest and most professional way possible. On departure days, you will ensure students know when they are being picked up, and troubleshoot any issues that might prevent them from reaching their airport terminals in plenty of time for their departure flights.

The role reports directly to the USA Airports Transfer Coordinator, who reports into the Campus Site Manager.

Summary

The Campus Administrator has a key role in the delivery of our Summer Programs, serving our participants every day and supporting our leadership teams. Reporting to the Site Manager, the job holder deals with a wide range of daily issues and queries, with fast response required. Administrators are essential members of the team who ensure that the academic and enrichment operations run to a high standard throughout the Program.

The Administrator's core role is to support the Academic Programme through the daily maintenance of registers, lesson plans, providing class handouts, reading assignments, monitoring classroom supplies and proofreading of final student reports. The person in this role is a primary focal point for teacher and participant enquiries and also supports the Site Manager in ensuring student welfare and comfort in their accommodation. They must be able to prioritise requests and handle any complaints sensitively and effectively.

Key Responsibilities
• Provide full administrative support to campus Teaching and Pastoral teams
• Ensure all teachers and students receive timely response to any accommodation issues
• Complete relevant online logs and paperwork relating to registration, welfare and incident logs, medication, incidents and other relevant areas
• Maintain full campus records pursuant to State regulations and venue contractual obligations
• Support the US Operations Coordinator in monitoring assessments of all program risk
• Support the Site Manager in keeping inventories for all US procurement and campus office supplies

Position Details
• This role will be based at one of our US summer sites. Our courses are for international students aged 16-18, and run in 2-week sessions in July
• Working hours will be approximately 50 hours per week across 6 days. This includes morning, afternoon, and night shifts as assigned by Campus Management
• The weekly salary range is $650 to $950 depending on experience and subject to security background checks
• Mandatory training and campus set up will take place during the week before student arrivals

• Able to work autonomously and with deep attention to detail, highly organised and IT literate
• Resilience under pressure and in a dynamic environment
• Ability to form productive relationships with a wide variety of colleagues, venue conferencing staff and local service providers
• Able to stand up for consistent representation of the OR brand values in any scenario
• Approachable and personable while maintaining a focus on consistent student comfort and welfare, observing disciplined risk management and compliance

Essential Qualifications / Experience
• Successful track record in administration using advanced software
• Delivery achievements in event management, education or customer services

Desirable Experience
• Experience working with educators in a wide range of disciplines
• Experience planning and executing events
• Knowledge of the international education industry and how vacation courses operate
