Key Responsibilities:
• Build and coordinate calendar and planner grids for a large number of products using Adobe Indesign and Illustrator.
• Route and edit calendar and planner grids, working closely with editorial. Preflight and upload files to factories.
• Layout company catalogs.
• Participate in internal meetings to assure the smooth process of the Dated program and adhere to all deadlines.
General Responsibilities
• Work closely with the Dated art director to create overall collections.
• Create production files before they are uploaded.
• Act as liaison with off-site freelancers and employees.
• Review and approve factory PDFs, digital proofs, pre-production samples, and advances.
• Follow design department procedures, protocols, standards, and SOPs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Experience:
• Must be proficient in Adobe Indesign and has extensive experience with the use of Style Sheets, Master Template, and multi-page layout.
• Knowledgeable in Illustrator, Photoshop, and Adobe Acrobat and must be able to work on these programs in a proficient manner.
• Has good working knowledge on basic offset printing principles and has some experience on how to prepare press-ready files.
• Has a keen sense of typography and good design eye to be able to produce a refined and upmarket quality of work.
• Must be able to take direction and work in collaboration with other team members with the same goal of producing top-notch work.
• Ability to work methodically and meet deadlines. Can thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented type of working environment.
Education/Experience:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design preferred
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience.
Pay: The compensation range for this role is $25-$28 per hour. Actual compensation is influenced by a variety of factors including but not limited to skills, experience, qualifications, and geographic location. This is a non-exempt position.
Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Sedentary work that primarily involves sitting/standing
