Overview
Rheinwerk Publishing, under its imprints SAP PRESS and Rheinwerk Computing, is an international publishing house that aims to educate the IT and business community with high-quality learning products. Launch or accelerate! your publishing career by joining our production department! In our North Quincy office, you ll work with an enthusiastic team creating both print and digital products.
Responsibilities
· Using the Adobe Creative Suite to design and optimize high-quality images for print, including screenshots and technical diagrams.
· Checking page proofs for design and layout quality.
· Working with Word templates and custom tools to produce high-quality print books and reader-friendly e-books.
· Working closely with editors, typesetters, and authors to produce books efficiently and on schedule.
Experience
· You have a bachelor s degree in graphic design, illustration, English, communications, journalism, or a related field.
· You have a working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite/Cloud, specifically Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, and InDesign.
· You have a sharp eye for detail and clear, balanced layout and design.
· Your organizational skills and your ability to prioritize your time are unmatched.
· You can balance discrete project deliverables with often overlapping deadlines.
· You have exceptional language, grammar, and communication skills.
· You have a strong work ethic and great interpersonal skills.
· You are proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, with an excellent working knowledge of PCs.
· You love books as much as we do!
Salary and Hours
Rheinwerk Publishing offers competitive salaries and benefits, including comprehensive medical insurance (health, dental, vision), FSA, 401(k) with generous company match, an attractive vacation policy (3 weeks to start, up to 5 weeks with longer service), and more. After your three-month training period, you can transition to our hybrid model of up to three days per week working from home if you prefer.
