Overview

Overview
The Specialist, SHRM Foundation Brand Marketing position is responsible for delivering and executing SHRM Foundation’s brand strategy through messaging, creative storytelling and brand activations at internal and external events and provides brand insight and pull through to our audience segment marketing teams. The Brand Specialist has a demonstrated understanding of SHRM and SHRM Foundation’s vision and SHRM’s audience-centric marketing strategy.
The Specialist, Brand Marketing also supports the brand team in creating tactics that support the overall SHRM Foundation brand strategy from support on philanthropy and engagement opportunities, brand messaging, project management, analytics and reporting, creative guidance and content creation. Activities may include but not limited to integrated marketing programs, commercial programs, product brands, social media, email marketing and thought leadership around the brand.

Responsibilities
• Works collaboratively with the SHRM Foundation team in tactical implementation that supports unified brand strategy.
• Create/prepare communications collateral.
• Execute brand projects including but not limited to: logos, branded assets, branded event support, digital project support, email marketing creation/writing, copywriting, website updating, and integrated marketing campaigns.
• Lead brand analytics to support brand, advertising and campaign performance to increase ROI. Provide data to support consumer insights and analytics for the SHRM Foundation Brand.
• Supports marketing and communication planning via research, strategy decks, and conceptual writing of brand platforms.
• Own brand standards and enforce those standards as a “Branded House” – including state council, chapters, and products.
• Draft compelling messaging that delivers clear benefits to external and internal stakeholders and conveys the brand voice.
• Deliver on SHRM Foundation brand on product launch tactics, brand themes and initiatives from initial launch strategy through promotional and post-launch follow up to achieve brand visibility, and new audience introductions of the brand.
• Think of out-of-the-box ways to activate against key events, social media, influencers, event/pop-up activations, partnerships, email and new channels to maximize investor opportunities and new revenue opportunities for SHRM Foundation – driving the brand experience across new and existing audiences.
• Measure and drive demonstrable business results and ROI through brand building.
• Apply great attention to detail with presentation, written and verbal communications skills.
• Project management including timelines, cascades, and budgeting.
• Other branded communications projects as assigned.

Under the direction of the project director and with a leader from GA SHRM , manage a grant-funded project to design and implement a state-wide training initiative to GA SHRM Chapters and organize a 10-15-organization pilot program to determine promising strategies to increase the use of skilled credentials in organizations’ hiring and upskilling program. This is a two-year, part time (40%) position.
Responsibilities:
· Oversee the design of a educational program on skilled credentials for GA SHRM members
· Implement the educational progam in GA SHRM chapters to be delivered both in person and virtually
· Partner with SHRM research on the development and launch of the skilled credential survey
· Lead the recruiting and relationship management of 10 - 15 companies to participate in the pilot
· Use existing coaching protocals to coach a portion of the pilot participants
· Manage the work of an advisory board
· Manage up to 2 interns
· Manage the operations of the project including contractor agreements and invoices
· Manage the completion of the final report
Education & Experience Requirements
Education
• Bachelor’s Degree not required but will be considered
Experience
• Minimum 10 years-experience in a mid-level/senior HR position with responsibilities for recruitment and talent development
• Designed or evaluated HR training materials for a variety of staff levels
• Managed projects with outside contractors and tight deadlines that required significant internal and external stakeholder management
• Coached HR professionals on changes in HR processes
• Managed development and implementation of DE&I strategies
• Strong relationships with GA HR community and workforce development organizations
• Experience in volunteer management, communication and public relations strategies and research project preferred
Certifications
· SHRM-CP and other SHRM Credentials a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
• Strong project management, communication and presentation skills
• Coaching of senior professionals
• Familiarity with the HR profession
• Process oriented with an eye for continual improvement
