POSITION: Senior Buyer

LOCATION: Santa Clara, CA

Reporting to the Head of Technology, this role is responsible for procurement, vendor management (distributors and equipment makers), negotiation, and cost and inventory management and controls. This position will have responsibility for the entire procure-to-pay process, essentially procuring the right components from the right vendors to be delivered at the right time at the best possible cost. This roll is cross-functional, working with engineering, network planning, field installation, and accounting. The successful candidate has demonstrated ability to identify risks, manage resources, solve problems, and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities
• Work with vendors to align component orders and deliveries to the company’s needs over time
• Monitor supply chain problems and vendor delivery performance and quality
• Process component RMAs back to vendors to both drive higher component quality and maximize our cost recovery
• Build relationships with key vendors to ensure our access to critical components at best-in-class pricing
• Process high volume daily invoices in NetSuite. This includes routing invoices for approvals, coding, entering invoices, and processing payments
• Review all transactions for accurate coding, quantity, price, and use tax; and ensure each transaction has the appropriate supporting documents and approvals
• Create, reconcile, and resolve purchase order, invoice, and payment discrepancies
• Prepare account reconciliations for accounts payable, accrued use tax, goods accrual, and other reporting deliverables related to A/P
• Work with field personnel in the assignment and maintenance of company-assigned vehicles
• Ensure warehouse and warehouse offices are maintained in good working order
• Support month-end close activities, including invoice accruals, accrue/reclass goods received not invoiced, and reconcile corporate credit card entries

Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of purchasing experience
• Demonstrated competency with Netsuite accounting and inventory management system
• Bachelor’s degree in business or supply chain management certification and equivalent experience
• Strong analytical and Microsoft Excel skills
• Strong working knowledge of P2P process and managing standard costs in ERP system
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and time management. Ability to manage competing priorities with deadlines, without sacrificing quality
• Demonstrated ability managing vendor relationships and negotiating supply chain contracts
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• Demonstrated success working in start-up environment
• Eligibility to work in the United States

What we’re seeking:

Frontier’s Local Managers will focus on operational proficiency, and employee, customer, and community relations. By driving performance and delivering results through customer contact and community involvement, the Local Manager will impact Frontier’s ability to exceed our market growth targets and deliver 100% employee and customer satisfaction.

This position will provide leadership to a workforce of field technicians who install and maintain both residential and business lines, OSP cable facilities, multi-line CPE equipment, hi-cap access services, broadband services, central office/transmission equipment, and digital loop carrier equipment. In this in-person role, you will be required to report to our Burney, Redding, Palo Cedro, Weaverville, or Crescent City, CA locations to complete your work responsibilities.

What you’ll do:

• Partners with Human Resources to ensure firm, fair, and consistent application of practices/policies and labor agreements in a timely manner

What background you should have:
• Field Technician work experience preferred
