Parks Maintenance –
• Performs all aspects of grounds maintenance including turf and plant material installation and maintenance, maintenance of athletic fields, set up and maintenance of playground equipment, custodial duties, and rubbish collection.
• Use hand and power tools, operate power mowers, string trimmers, gas hedge shears, tractors, trucks and other green industry related equipment.
• Assist with special events set up and clean up.

Buildings Maintenance –
• Performs buildings maintenance duties in the City’s buildings, parks or other properties to include but not limited to janitorial duties, painting, and general building maintenance.
• Maintenance and thorough cleaning of restrooms, park shelters and other facilities.
• Opening and closing of park shelter restrooms.
• Painting signs and interiors and exteriors of buildings.
• Assist with special events set up and clean up.

Forestry Maintenance –
• Assist the Arborists in in all aspects of urban forestry work including: tree planting, pruning, removals, chipping brush, diagnostics and treatment.

Position Summary

As the IRIS Quality Assurance Specialist, you will participate in the development and implementation of the Quality Management program and the Departments’ efforts related to the objective monitoring and improvement of quality-of-care performance of the IRIS program. You will lead the efforts of the ongoing quality improvement project. Duties may include:
• Collecting and evaluating information necessary for performance measurement; ensuring the quality of data used for performance measurement and analyzing results for improvement.
• Ensuring program integrity, problem resolution, investigating grievances, and appeals, mitigating risk, and critical incident management associated with the quality of care and participant results linked to person-centered values of long-term care and self-directed care in Wisconsin.
• Participating in process improvement activities, policy development, and implementation and providing technical assistance to contractors, vendors and other stakeholders on program requirements, state and federal rule interpretations, and operational issues.

Salary Information

The starting salary is between $34.00 and $38.00 per hour (approximately between $70,700 and $79,000 per year), depending on qualifications, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.

Pay for current or former state employees will be set based on the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. This position is classified as a Quality Assurance Program Specialist – Senior and is in pay schedule and range 07/03.

Job Details

All applicants who may be appointed to this position will be required to allow DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any conviction may be related to the job being filled.

For positions that do allow remote working flexibility, although residency in the State of WI is not required for permanent positions, it is not anticipated that working outside of WI or bordering cities will be allowed as positions may at times need to report to office locations in WI on short notice.

Employees must have access to secure high-speed internet for remote work option. Mileage reimbursement to the employee’s headquarter location is not provided. Remote work flexibility will be discussed in more detail during the interview process.

DHS does not sponsor work visas for this position, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.

Qualifications

Minimally qualified applicants will have all of the following:
• Experience serving or supporting individuals with developmental disabilities, physical disabilities or the elderly population in a professional setting.
• Experience interpreting and applying state and federal statutes, regulations or policies that govern long-term care programs.
• Experience with data analysis (e.g., conducting trend analysis, developing reports based on collected data, measuring performance, evaluating results, etc.).

Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:
• Experience working with long-term care Medicaid programs, such as IRIS or Family Care.
• Experience working as a case manager or social worker.
• Experience with quality improvement, assurance or compliance methods and techniques.
