To see the password that will be saved, click Preview . If there are multiple passwords on the page, click the Down arrow . Choose the password you want saved. If your username is blank or incorrect, click the text box next to "Username." Enter the username you want saved. If you want to save a different password, click the text box next to "Password."

There could be a few pws from recent days that weren't on the backup but I'm happy. Opened Chrome 3 days ago, and all my saved passwords were gone. I don't sync with anything, so gave up and figured I'd just start over as I used them. This morning I logged into a site, chose Save the password at the prompt.

Jan 04, 2022 · To delete all saved passwords: Open the Tools menu (in newer versions this will appear as a gear icon in the upper right corner) Select Internet Options; Select Content; Under AutoComplete, select Settings; Click Delete AutoComplete history... To prevent AutoComplete in the future, make sure AutoComplete is deselected for User names and passwords on forms.
