It's interesting to see that nothing by Faulkner made the list, especially The Sound and The Fury. I'm a bit disappointed by this list. Edit: I overlooked As I Lay Dying at number 55, but I'm still of the opinion that The Sound and The Fury is the superior work. Little Big Man by Thomas Berger.

Always want to expand your writing. More importantly than what you read, change the way that you read. Don't just read to enjoy it, read deeply, re-read, ask yourself what the writer is doing well and what they are doing poorly. Reading graphic novels and television can be quite useful.
