When you really dig into Figma, it is by far the best option. It has more features and with more features comes the need to learn more. IMO, when you see someone sticking to Adobe XD they are likely too afraid to learn all the benefits that come with Figma and many design directors feel the same way.

Figma is the future, whether sketch and XD like it or not. Figma is just too powerful and the community plugins are 100% better than sketch and XD and they are free. The good useful sketch extensions always cost money, this will be what kills them. 11. Reply.

I've used both extensively. For basic design work XD is great. You can create great looking layouts, build a basic component library, and build fairly sophisticated prototypes. Side note, for a little while I think XD was actually ahead of Figma in prototyping, but Figma has since caught up and surpassed XD.
