If your phone allows it, delete the Google Photos App; then restart your phone. Reinstall and/or restart the Google Photos App on your phone and sign back into your Google Account. On your computer again, navigate to photos.google.com and sign into your account. Wait several hours and see if your images reappear on the App or at photos.google.com.

The 7 that stayed were not taken with my camera, but either screenshots or edited and saved through another app. This has remained the same through today, except on photos.google.com, where EVERY picture from ALL of 2018 is missing. I never deleted anything from anywhere myself and I just want my pictures back.
