harrycy. I think it's definitely worth it. Being inside you make great connections and you learn how the system works. If you want to eventually work for the EU institutions there's not a better way that doing a traineeship and getting first hand knowledge. The institutions work in a very complex way and their recruitment is very complicated.

I am a 23-year-old Spanish student. Before pursuing a traineeship to work in Luxembourg there are some things I would like to know: What would be the estimated price for renting an apartment / room in the city center?

Hello friends, I am a Schuman Applicant and one of the 3 traineeships for which I applied contacted me scheduling an interview for last week. Yesterday, I got back from them saying that I'm one of top three candidates they'll send to the Trainee Outreach Unit, and that I should await this unit's final decision.

Traineeships in the Secretariat - Schuman Traineeships. The Schuman traineeships are paid and can be undertaken at one of the European Parliament's official places of work - Brussels, Luxembourg and Strasbourg - or in its Liaison Offices in the Member States. These traineeships are named after Robert Schuman, one of the main architects ...

Hello. Currently, renting in Brussels is pretty expensive. Given that the Schuman traineeship pays below minimum wage, it won't be easy to find an affordable place to stay, even if we're talking about just one room - in my experience, they usually go for 600-700 euro (around half of your gross gain).

This July I am finishing my Erasmus Mundus. I have also done Erasmus+ in Spain and have some work experience. I would like to ask former trainees or people who select trainees what I should work on, what my chances are and how many non-EU candidates get selected. I also applied for Blue Book but I don't think I will even get pre-selected:/. 5. 1.

Hello there :)! I am really interested in applying for a Schuman traineeship in Brussels or in Luxembourg. However, I'm curious to know (from people who have already done it) what your experience was like with this kind of traineeship.

I've been offered a Schuman traineeship in Luxembourg. While I'm excited about this opportunity, I'd appreciate some guidance in making a well-informed decision, considering the financial aspects. The monthly grant for the traineeship is €1,521, and I'm contemplating whether this would be sufficient to cover the cost of living in Luxembourg.
