I also just find this lofty nebulous ambition so self-contradictory for so many reasons (below) "As with most nonprofits, The Borgen Project's internships are unpaid. In a perfect world, small to mid-sized humanitarian organizations would have the resources to offer paid-internships.". The Borgen Project is a small group.

Hello all, I recently accepted an offer as a Political Affairs Intern at The Borgen Project, and I'm starting on Monday. Since my interview I've been suspicious of it and upon doing more research I realize that a lot of their goals are lofty and vague. However, I accepted the offer because I'm about to graduate university and I am desperate to ...

Cultural-Basket-2586. • 2 yr. ago. I worked at The Borgen Project. It was simply terrible. You need to raise at least $500 working as an unpaid intern. Most of your work is harassing your friends and family with fundraising letters and harassing congresspersons with emails/phone calls. 2.

I'm currently volunteering for The Borgen Project, and I can tell you first hand that they're a super effective grassroots organization. They use advocacy to increase foreign aid as a part of US foreign policy and directly impact US legislation.

If you're suspicious then trust your gut and dont do it, I've personally never heard of it. 4. burstingwith123. • 4 yr. ago. I tried doing it but it simply expects a lot of work, you have to call leaders from your state and set up to fund me's. It doesn't feel like you're learning anything though. 3.
