works closely with reporters and photographers to coordinate coverage, stories, video and live shots for the newscasts.
writes scripts for their newscasts and creates a strong newscast rundown to ensure all newscast content is presented in a way that best benefits the viewers.
During the newscast, the producer must time out the newscast and communicate closely with the directors, anchors and field crews, particularly as adjustments are made.
The producer must have excellent time management skills.
