Adblock, Inc. is a small team that serves tens of millions of people worldwide. Our vision is to provide our users with simple, intuitive tools to block distractions, protect their privacy, and put people in control of their internet experience
...
Our products—AdBlock, Adblock Plus, and AdBlock VPN—have been downloaded hundreds of million times and work in all major web browsers, as well as on macOS, iOS, Windows, and Android devices.
Our team has been fully remote since its inception, and we each work from whatever location works best for us. What unites us is a desire to make it easier and safer for our users to browse the web.
To achieve our mission, and serve our users, we need a QA engineer who can support our software testing efforts and help our users navigate the web safely. You'll be joining a small, collaborative team and you'll have the opportunity to impact the strategic direction of our products, which include our ad blockers, VPN, and future products.
You’ll be working primarily on our AdBlock and Adblock Plus browser extensions, collaborating closely with other cross-functional teams that include engineers, product designers, product managers, and other QA engineers. When not busy testing new features and releases, writing automated tests or creating and managing test cases, you will use your previous experience to propose suggestions for improving your team’s processes. You’re an excellent communicator and, just like your future colleagues, you value collaboration, embrace new challenges and care deeply about the team’s needs.
While you will be joining a team with an already established QA process, the idea is for you to eventually take over leading and owning all-things-QA in the team, while continuing to make the process even better.
We are a globally distributed team that spans many time zones. In this role you’ll be supporting a team based primarily in Europe; however, you’ll be expected to collaborate with colleagues in North America. This means some late-evening (7 pm CET) or early-morning (7AM PST) meetings a few times per week.
What You'll Do:
• Review functional and design specifications before they go into implementation to point out possible problems
• Write and maintain test cases
• Test new features and releases- doing both exploratory and scripted testing
• Contribute to our automation and CI pipeline
• Maintain and contribute to our documentation
• Figure out ways how to improve our test strategy
• Own and lead all QA processes in the team
• Advocate for quality in all steps of the product development cycle.
You Have:
• At least 3 years of experience working as a QA engineer in software development
• Experience owning QA processes in a team
• Solid understanding of QA processes, approaches, methodologies and software development lifecycle
• Basic knowledge of Selenium or other automation frameworks
• Basic knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
• Basic knowledge of JavaScript
• Knowledge of source code management tools like Git
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams
• Experience working remotely
• Knowledge of scripting languages
• Experience testing browser extensions
• Experience collaborating remotely using asynchronous communication methods in a distributed team
• Experience testing mobile apps and/or native Windows and macOS apps
• Experience with automated testing for mobile apps, in-app payments, account management systems
• Familiarity with Selenium Webdriver or webdriverIO
• Experience working in a start-up and/or in a cross-functional team
Why You'll Love Our Team:
• Competitive Salary: Our salaries are based on Radford data, a widely-used global compensation benchmark, to ensure we provide competitive pay. We don’t adjust your salary based on where you live, so you can live wherever you like.
• Comprehensive Benefits: We offer a benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance coverage*, 401K matching*, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, and more.
• Professional Growth: We give team members the autonomy to do their best work. Because we’re a small team, you’ll be able to immediately see the impact of your work and grow with the team. We also support professional development with training, coaching, and regular feedback.
• Fully Distributed Community: You’ll be able to work 100% remotely, yet remain well-connected to your colleagues. We meet at least once a year for a week-long offsite.

• Currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available in the U.S.

• Use our owned and operated and organic marketing channel to drive awareness to our products and features, significantly impacting Adblock's feature adoption and user growth
• Share demonstrated best practices to improve product marketing and business performance, driving knowledge-sharing within the company across content marketing, product, and other stakeholders
• Guide and manage external agencies in order to ensure we're hitting our goals and to ensure that their tactics deliver on return on investment
• Manage the team responsible for content marketing, search engine optimization, and app store optimization

Our mission is to create a distraction-free and worry-free internet experience for everyone. We publish the world’s two most popular tools for blocking ads, trackers, and distractions: AdBlock and Adblock Plus, which are used by more than 150 million people worldwide. And we’ve recently expanded our product portfolio to include AdBlock VPN to help our users protect their privacy and access the content they want, wherever they are.
Our products have been downloaded more than 500 million times, are available in 30 different languages, and are used by people in more than 180 countries worldwide. After a decade of creating the world’s most popular ad blockers, we’ve started to expand our product suite to block additional distractions like cookie notices, anti-ad block walls, and the other pop-ups that plague the modern internet.
Our fully-remote team spans 10 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia. What unites us is a desire to ensure our users enjoy a distraction-free and worry-free internet experience.
About The Role
Millions of people discover our products on their own each year in their search for a more private, distraction-free browsing experience. As we’ve grown, our business model has evolved from a business supported primarily via one-time contributions from our users, to a more traditional subscription and recurring revenue supported business. We’re looking for someone who loves finance operations and would love the opportunity to help build out that function at a highly-profitable, growing, consumer-focused software company that’s serving the needs of tens of millions of people worldwide, every month.
What You'll Do:
• Manage the accounting function at Adblock Inc.
• Establish the financial planning and analysis function at Adblock Inc.
• Own the business model for a rapidly-growing consumer-focused software business; you’ll be the voice of our business performance to internal and external stakeholders
• Develop a clear perspective on the key drivers of our business—conversion rates, year 1 retention rates, average order values, and more—and how they’ll impact the success of our business; you’ll know which metrics matter and which don’t
• Collaborate closely with our product teams to identify and monitor the performance of our key business drivers, and ensure we’re tracking towards our goals
• Work closely with our finance and accounting teams to provide visibility into our quarterly rolling forecasts and fine-tune our annual and long-range financial planning processes
• Develop business models around new product initiatives that are informed by available public and private market comps from comparable business
• Create sensitivity analysis to identify the impact of different variables on the performance of our business across a number of revenue lines
• This role will report to the CEO and work closely with our internal and external finance and accounting resources
What You’ll Bring to Adblock
• You’re a great communicator who loves collaborating with teammates in finance, product, and engineering to help us grow our business
• You have at least 5 years of experience in accounting or a related financial function
• You have experience with business-to-consumer (B2C) subscription businesses and have used metrics such as lifetime value (LTV) and retention, to influence decision making
• You possess strong qualitative and quantitative skills, with a demonstrated track record for using data to solve complex problems
• You have an undergraduate degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting, or Economics
• You have a thorough knowledge of Excel and its data and analysis tools
Why You'll Love Our Team
• Competitive Salary: Our salaries are based on Radford data, a widely-used global compensation benchmark, to ensure we provide competitive pay. We don’t adjust your salary based on where you live.
• Comprehensive Benefits: We offer a benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance coverage*, 401K matching*, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, and more.

• Office Equipment: We’ll provide you with a setup of your choice, based on what you need to work effectively.
• Currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available in the U.S.
We'd Love to Work With You!
We’re serious about our work but we don’t take ourselves too seriously. We want Adblock, Inc. to be a place where people love their work, like their co-workers, and treat everyone with respect and empathy.
We’re a small team and our strength comes from our diversity. We strive to create an inclusive environment where differences in race, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, political and religious affiliation, socioeconomic background, cultural background, geographic location, disabilities and abilities, relationship status, veteran status, and age only make us stronger.

Description
Our mission is to create a distraction-free and worry-free internet experience for everyone. We publish the world's two most popular tools for blocking ads, trackers, and distractions: AdBlock and Adblock Plus, which are used by more than 150 million people worldwide. And we've recently expanded our product portfolio to include AdBlock VPN to help our users protect their privacy and access the content they want, wherever they are.
Our products have been downloaded more than 500 million times, are available in 30 different languages, and are used by people in more than 180 countries worldwide. After a decade of creating the world's most popular ad blockers, we've started to expand our product suite to block additional distractions like cookie notices, anti-ad block walls, and the other pop-ups that plague the modern internet.
Our fully-remote team spans 10 countries across North America, Europe, and Asia. What unites us is a desire to ensure our users enjoy a distraction-free and worry-free internet experience.
About The Role
We're rapidly growing our business to empower every individual to take control of their internet experience. To do so, we need to better understand our 140 million users and improve our ability to communicate with them.
As our first data analyst, you'll be instrumental in defining what data we collect and how we use it to make better decisions to support our users. You'll be closely working with our product teams to ensure we'll be able to turn data into information, information into insight and insight into business decisions.
There will be significant variation from one day to the next, but whether you're exploring where we see the biggest opportunity to improve user experience, what a successful Adblock account looks like, building out dashboards to track core metrics, or evaluating experiments to measure the success of a key feature launch, you'll absolutely impact the development of Adblock.
What You'll Do
• Help us define the highest-impact company KPIs, our north star and operational metrics, and build and maintain dashboards we need to monitor and act upon them
• Examine the data we have, help us define and articulate the problems we need to solve, and provide insights and opportunities for the team to act upon
• Work closely with engineering to define the underlying data table architecture that supports our workflows and data needs
• Partner closely with a product, engineering, and marketing at every step of the product development process and help guide product decisions
• Help establish the data analytics function at Adblock Inc.
What You'll Bring To Adblock
• You have strong analytical and reporting skills with experience building dashboards and models in tools like Looker, Google Data Studio, and other relevant tools
• You've spent meaningful time on a data team and worked closely with product, engineering, and growth teams
• You have expertise in SQL and at least one scripting language (ideally Python or R)
• You're comfortable working with raw data to build your own datasets if the measure you need doesn't exist yet
• You're free to collaborate daily with our teammates in Europe, which means you're available to work between 3PM and 7PM Central European Time (CEST) most days
What We Offer
• Competitive Salary: Our salaries are based on Radford data, a widely-used global compensation benchmark, to ensure we provide competitive pay. We don't adjust your salary based on where you live, so you can live wherever you like.
• Comprehensive Benefits: We offer a benefits package that includes medical and dental insurance coverage*, 401K matching*, 14 weeks of paid parental leave, and more.
• Professional Growth: We give team members the autonomy to do their best work. Because we're a small team, you'll be able to immediately see the impact of your work and grow with the team. We also support professional development with training, coaching, and regular feedback.
• Fully Distributed Community: You'll be able to work 100% remotely, yet remain well-connected to your colleagues. We meet at least once a year for a week-long offsite.
• Generous Vacation Policy: We encourage our employees to take the time they need for a vacation, to spend time with their families, and to stay healthy by offering at least 28 days of paid leave.
• Office Equipment: We'll provide you with a setup of your choice, based on what you need to work effectively.
• Currently, healthcare and retirement plans are only available in the U.S Show more details...
