• Organize follow-up from senior team member’s meetings including drafting cover notes, compiling any necessary data from the various investment, portfolio accounting, and legal teams to respond to open information requests from the meetings
• Monitor email and phone correspondence to ensure that all prospective client and consultant requests are addressed in a timely manner
• Researching and preparing pre-meeting summaries for senior team members prior to meetings and road shows

Skills/Experience Required
• BS in Economics, Business, Marketing or other related area of study
• 1-3 years’ experience, ideally institutional sales/marketing/relationship management
• An understanding of the institutional sales process - prior experience with Salesforce or similar CRM preferred
• Real estate/private equity/Alts industry experience a plus, but not necessary
• Individual will be expected to become a registered rep of FINRA within the 1st year (SIE, series 63, series 7)
• Self-starter that is eager to grow into the role of capital raiser in the mid to long-term
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills, as well as written and oral communication skills
• Efficient organizational and multitasking skills
• Exceptional phone and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
• Ability to work well in a team environment
• Strong client service commitment, including management of confidential business matters
• Strong computer skills including knowledge of and aptitude for sales databases (e.g. Preqin, MMD, Burgiss) and MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word & Outlook

AEW is seeking rising college juniors for Summer 2025 internships. This is an 8-10 week, rotational experience that includes exposure to all facets of the CRE industry and a deal presentation at the conclusion. The Summer (late June – August) session includes the following elements:
• HR orientation
• Compliance orientation (orientation to regulatory and compliance landscape at AEW)
• IT Orientation (deep dive into the typical tools we use – Email, SharePoint, Yammer, Teams)
• Intro to networking expectations – pick a person each week to have coffee/lunch with – outline sample conversations, talk about a strategy for who/how/when.
• Learning opportunities and/or technical training– leverage LinkedIn Learning on-demand content and/or other programming available to us through IT

Mini Boot Camp
• Participation in AEW Academy programming
• Real estate introduction
• Tours to learn about the different asset classes.
• Excel, Bloomberg, RCA/CoStar and Argus training.

Case study work with the team members across business functions including Acquisitions and Asset Management
• What was the investment thesis, the business plan, what did we encounter along the way (what went right, what went wrong)?
• What was leasing like?
• How did the disposition go and what was the end result?

Working through a real-life deal, interns will meet with Acquisitions, Asset Management, A&E, Legal, Capital Markets, IR, Research and Insurance., Accounting to understand all of the disciplines and considerations that are necessary to complete an investment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with some CRE experience to take a deeper dive into the deal life cycle and come away aware of the range of career opportunities in the industry and within AEW specifically. Candidates should bring good analytical skills, a willingness to embrace networking opportunities and a strong curiosity in the CRE industry.

Responsibilities
• Review work completed by the Finance Team/Third Party Finance Team to ensure the accounting, financial, performance and investor reporting completed for fund series and separate accounts are completed in accordance with their reporting needs
• Participate regularly in discussions with the Finance Teams to ensure reporting needs for fund series and separate accounts are met
• Actively manage the reporting for fund series and separate accounts
• Assist with the preparation of investor and consultant inquiries
• Assist with the onboarding of new clients, which includes coordinating with Legal & Compliance, Investor Relations and Portfolio Management
• Preparation and/or review of client capital call and distribution notices, quarterly investors statements and other requests

Skills/Experience Required
• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s Degree in Accounting
