Responsible for preparing all documents for filing with the Clerk of Court and with the Solicitor’s Office. Filings must be accurate, complete, and timely. Maintains calendars for assigned attorneys and may meet with clients’ witnesses in the absence of the attorney when scheduled. May schedule appearances for other courts for clients in the event they have magistrate or city charges. Must remain objective and factual when reviewing case materials and interviewing clients.

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:
Minimum Level of Job-Related Education:
Requires a vocational / technical diploma in paralegal studies, criminal justice, secretarial science or other relevant field. Computer skills a must, including Microsoft, search engines, and search social media.

Minimum Amount of Job-Related Experience:
six to nine months of responsible secretarial or administrative support, preferably in a legal environment, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities

This position is responsible for completing a variety of maintenance tasks to ensure the building and grounds are in good working order.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Note: The list below is not comprehensive; this job is also responsible for other duties as assigned

1. Special Projects – The incumbent will be responsible to assisting in completing delegated tasks when necessary. This includes electrical work, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry. If the work requires a licensed trades worker, the Building Superintendent will contact management.

2. The position assists vendors and custodians.

The primary challenge for this position involves taking care of rental property with specialized laboratory requirements, and knowing how to handle some of the intricacies of that.

WORK LEADERSHIP OR SUPERVISION:

This position is an individual contributor.

REQUIRED EDUCATIONAL BACKGROUND AND JOB-RELATED EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Level of Job-Related Education: certification in several of the trades if possible

Minimum Amount of Job-Related Experience: 2 years progressive experience in several of the trades

Minimum Level of any Required Qualifications, Licenses, Certificates, Registrations, or any Relevant Knowledge, Job Skill or Equivalent Experience: trade certification

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB:
