Responsibilities will be
• Execute repairs under warranty to manufacturer specifications;
• Test-drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using diagnostic tools and special service equipment;
• Keep shop area neat and clean;
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts;
• Inspect vehicle fluid levels and replace or replenish as necessary;
• Operate all tools and equipment in a safe manner;
• Check tire pressure and add air if needed;
• Perform Multi-Point inspections on pre-owned vehicles;
• Recondition as per used car managers authorization;
• Maintain accountability for all dealership-owned tools and manuals;
• Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil; replace oil and air filters;
• Communicate directly with the Service Advisor so that customers are well-informed of any additional services needed;
• Provide an estimate of time needed for additional repairs;
• Perform work specified on the repair order with efficiency and in accordance with dealership.
Requirements:
• Willing to submit to a pre-employment background check & drug screen;
• Enjoy working in a dynamic environment;
• Able to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
• Enjoy working in a fast paced environment;
• Teammate with ability to collaborate with others effectively;
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with a customer service mentality;
• Must hold a high school diploma or equivalent;
• Excellent customer service skills;
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination;
• Mechanical and troubleshooting skills and ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment;
• Punctual and reliable;
• Positive, friendly attitude, along with an eagerness to improve;
• Basic Computer skills;
• Entry-level qualifications, including Diagnostic, Electrical and Engine Repair preferred;
• Strong physical dexterity for working with tools.
