About the role and responsibilities:
You’ll be responsible as a manager for one of the main teams in your SC. Along with your peers, you’ll ensure that all workflows run smoothly and that customer expectations are met, if not exceeded.
In the logistics team you enter and lead, we’ll be entrusting a team of approximately 80 to 120 associates to you. You’ll drive the training and integration of your team, while motivating and inspiring forward progress. All the while, you’ll exercise sound judgement, making sure progress and KPI targets are worked towards and met.
While you achieve this, you’ll ensure motivation, engagement and performance:
• You’ll need to safeguard your team’s safety, promoting Amazon’s Health and Safety standards,
• You’ll lead cross-functional teams, tasked with solving operational problems,

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• You hold a degree in logistics, business administration, or in a related field, or you have an equivalent qualification
• A strong team player, you thrive when working with others,
• You have previous experience as a manager, involving sizable teams; you’re a natural at motivating others around you,
• You demonstrate problem-solving and analytical capabilities: conducting and driving Dive Deep analysis on complex processes isn’t a problem for you,
• You’re a quick thinker, able to act decisively in a fast-paced environment,
• You’re willing and able to work to flexible schedules and shifts: you always commit the time required to get the job done.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Previous experience as a manager in a distribution center or logistics warehouse is a nice to have.

About the Role
As a Control Systems Lead, you will lead service technicians on the team with maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Material Handling (MHE) controls systems equipment to ensure operational performance. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley Controllogix and Compactlogix PLC platform utilizing RSLogix 5000 software package. Including Industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Act as first level escalation support for the control system technician teams. Appropriately escalate downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support to restore equipment operation.

• Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations. Acting as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the building
• Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems
• Develop training plans for Control Systems Technicians

About the Role
As a Control Systems Lead, you will lead service technicians on the team with maintaining, troubleshooting, and modifying Material Handling (MHE) controls systems equipment to ensure operational performance. You will support the Operations Maintenance team by designing solutions for difficult problems and managing projects. You will help train, and mentor service technicians and contract technicians.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to
• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures
• Troubleshoot and modify software programs for material handling control systems, including PLC/PC controllers, Allen Bradley Controllogix and Compactlogix PLC platform utilizing RSLogix 5000 software package. Including Industrial networks such as Ethernet, ControlNet, DeviceNet, Profibus, AS-I, motor control systems, servo drives, frequency drives, and electrical distribution systems.
• Act as first level escalation support for the control system technician teams. Appropriately escalate downtime situations to vendors or headquarters for support to restore equipment operation.
• Apply subject matter expertise in material handling and electronic control systems to maximize building utilization of systems
• Monitor MHE metrics and partner with Controls Technicians and Mechanics to resolve equipment electrical problems that create performance deficiencies. Perform controls systems assessments to maintain and improve equipment reliability
• Partner with Facility Operations leadership, equipment vendors and parts suppliers to plan and coordinate new technology installations. Acting as the technical consultant for capital projects inside the building
• Communicate technical issues and project timelines with building leadership, operations and the maintenance team. Explain production impacts and work closely with operations and engineering to ensure a thorough understanding of impact to systems
• Develop training plans for Control Systems Technicians
• Move up to 49lbs as well as stand and walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, with or without reasonable accommodation
• 50% or more travel requirement pre-launch to complete various building launch and training tasks.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
• Associate's degree, or 2+ years of professional or military experience
• Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
• 5+ years of experience with Motor Controls (motor starts, variable frequency drives, DC drives, and standard electrical components)
• 5+ years of experience with Programmable Logic Controls (PLC) programs 3+ years with SCADA systems and KPI's
• 3+ years of experience supporting a wide range of conveyors and sortation systems Leadership and project management experience
• Experience with ASRS systems and Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) 1+ year of experience working with Allen Bradley
• 1+ years maintaining and troubleshooting robotics systems

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $52,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $109,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
