You will be responsible to discover new opportunities, help define and execute local content acquisition strategies with independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other niche content partners across a variety of business models, including flat fee licensing, pay for performance, and more.
Leveraging your experience in both negotiations and content analysis you will work across MX content owners to develop new business models and deliver results for both our stakeholders and costumers.
Key job responsibilitieso Negotiate and execute MX SVOD content licensing agreements on behalf of Prime Video with independent producers and distributors, TV network groups, and other partners across various business models, including flat fee licensing, pay per hour/pay for performance, and more.
o Manage content licensing selection and mix across multiple content categorieso Use data on customer behavior, usage and consumption to inform decision-making for content acquisition and uncover new content genres for customerso Internally, develop content acquisition plans, financial metrics, and goals for senior management.
o Externally, establish and manage strong relationships with content providers at a senior level.
o Develop a deep understanding of financial analysis, content performance forecasting, and technical requirements for video uploads and deliveryo Collaborate with internal teams across all functional areas within Prime Video to define content strategies and to execute content licensing agreements (e.
g.
, legal, finance, marketing, etc.
).
o Maintain a can-do attitude and willingness and flexibility to solve problems at short notice, using any tools necessary.
This is a hands-on job that will work with cross functional team as it is the Content Acquisitions Manager's responsibility to ensure the whole licensing process end-to-end (from discovery and evaluation to actual launch).
