Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

The position of Aireon Operations Specialist assumes significant responsibility for providing Air Traffic Management (ATM) operational expertise (SME) within the Aireon Operations functional area of the Engineering department. They shall work collaboratively with the Director, Operations and various contractors, advising on day-to-day operational support, with a specific focus on ensuring Aireon 3.0 is fit for operational service and that the CONOPs requirements are delivered upon.

The Operations Specialist shall undertake to provide program management support for the development of compliant safety and service requirements for the Aireon 3.0 project, whilst ensuring that safety and service requirements changes and evolutions for the current 2.x system currently deployed are appropriate and managed effectively.

What You'll Do
• Draw on ANSP operational experience to guide and support Aireon service delivery
• Compile system service logs to identify outage times per customer
• Perform detailed reviews of incident logs, human observations, and event-specific notes to understand the extent of an incident
• Start an investigation towards root cause analysis and provide interim reports to Aireon stakeholders and customers
• Provide SME inputs to ongoing safety investigations and root cause analyses
• Work with the Integrated Product Team (IPT) to create procedures for operations to support new products
• Work with the operations center to facilitate integration of the new product support into their daily operations, onboarding of customers, identification of tier 2 support, and escalation of issues to tier 3 personnel

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree and/or ATC license qualifications with demonstrated experience in various complex aviation environments and locations
• Knowledge of international aviation standards and recommended practices
• 10 years of operational experience working in a heavily regulated aviation environment
• 5 years at a management level
• Extended knowledge of aviation safety and quality management processes with hands-on experience, as they pertain to an integrated management system

1-3-6-12 Month Plan

In the first month we'll expect you to...
• Get onboarded and familiarize yourself with the inner workings of Aireon
• Get acclimated into the role, and meet key personnel based in Aireon H.Q.
• Understand the tools, external support and different stakeholders/vendors
• Get accustomed to the company manuals, applicable regulations and selected standards

At 3 months we'll expect you to...
• Actively participate in meetings with the operations team, identifying risk-based priorities to assist with briefing senior leadership
• Familiarize yourself with the Aireon Service Desk Operations and personnel
• Actively participate in Senior Management discussions and briefings

At 6 months we'll expect you to...
• Take an active role in guiding the successful evolution of Aireon 3.0 ensuring safety and operational requirements are appropriately considered and implemented
• Review existing company processes and procedures and where applicable make recommendations for change
• Represent Director of Operations at meetings as required
• In conjunction with the Director of Operations, develop the future strategy for this functional area including expansion of roles and responsibilities, future evolution of objectives, capabilities and subsequent expansion and distribution of resources

At 12 months we'll expect you to...
• Be a regular attendee at Aireon HQ and regarded as a resident SME in the area of all things Safety and Operations
• Develop a program plan spanning the life-cycle of the project to effectively project manage the deployment and implementation of the above strategy as decided by your direct line manager

About the Team
• This is a close-knit but diverse team, as many functional areas fall within the Safety and Operations domain within engineering
• Many are regularly in attendance as we provide a 24-hour service from two locations
• We encourage 2-3 days of attendance at the HQ facility in order to stay in touch with the rest of the teams
• The majority of the team is located in VA and MD, with some remote

Position Summary, Job Requirements & Responsibilities

As Sales Manager in the LATAM region, you will be leading the sales campaign of our products with ANSPs and other aviation actors. Aireon Surveillance data and all the derived products enable customers to access the first and only global aircraft surveillance source through high-fidelity products and services. We are looking for a passionate and innovative Sales Manager to join our team and help modernize Air Traffic Control in the LATAM region.

What You'll Do
• Identify and pursue sales opportunities with regional ANSPs and aviation industries
• Set up sales campaign strategies and execution, in coordination with the global Sales director
• Conduct workshops/educational meetings with potential customers on our disrupting technology
• Need to navigate the complexity of big governmental organizations, with relationships to be built at all levels
• Partner with Product Management and Marketing to align go-to-market and sales campaigns
• Engage with the customer during forums and conferences

Experience & Education Requirements / EEO

Required Qualifications
• 6 years of experience with Sales in the Aviation Industry in the LATAM region
• Proven experience developing deep and trusted relationships with customers
• Aviation background (ANSP, Airlines, Aviation industries)
• Ability to travel within the region up to 50% of the time
• Proven track record of successfully executing sales campaigns

Desired Qualifications
• Sales experience in LATAM with ANSPs/Airlines or other governmental bodies
• Deep knowledge of main ATM concepts (ATC, ATFM, CNS technologies, etc.)
• Experience and understanding of the concept of data value and innovative business models
• Understanding of procurement processes for the Aviation Market
• Experience with Salesforce CRM tools

• Define first-year roadmap and engagement playbook
• Have visited and created relationships with main ANSPs and other potential customers
• Hold regular internal meetings with product management to transfer customer requirements and use cases
