About our client
Our client is a Habit-Forming App.
About the project
• Company is around 15 people, half are scientists, dieticians, neuroscience, PhDs, they do research on how the brain builds habits
• CTO and engineers take the science and codify that into behavior-changing routines
• You will be helping them launch 2 new features with one being their "pro features" and the other is an administrative tool for managing users, content, push notifications, etc.
• Work as a part of an engineering team that delivers through rapid iterations (shipping about every 2 weeks)
• Backend is all Golang and PostgreSQL and hosted on Digital Ocean
• Primary technologies are Golang, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, docker and the
a standard set of development tools (Github, Digital Ocean, etc)
• Backend is written entirely in Go and all apps interface with the backend via typical REST-based interfaces using JWT tokens for authentication and authorization
• Work will include the design of content management APIs, user management APIs, reporting APIs, role-based access control, configuration management, security and audit (tracking who changed what and when), and the underlying data management.
Skills / Requirements:
• 2.5+ years of Go development experience
• 2+ years of database design experience
• Project-related experience
Additional Information:
• Client prefers someone available 40hrs/week but open to part-time for the right candidate
• Include Github repo or open-source projects even you're just contributor when applying
