Role & Responsibilities:
Interior Architectural Designers are responsible for drafting 3D models, crafting design presentations, and ensuring that design intent & client needs are met throughout the life of the project. This role works directly with our Directors and Project Leader on interior architectural tasks.
The typical day-to-day responsibilities for our Interior Architectural Designers include:
• Drafting 3D models via ArchiCAD & Twinmotion

Role
Working closely under the Project Director, 3D, the Junior Architectural Designer is responsible for realizing exhibitions and installations from concept to production, including construction administration, in collaboration with clients, project management, and other designers at Standard Issue. This includes producing presentation materials, renderings, and detailed drawings as needed from preliminary space planning and budgeting exercises through concept, schematic, and design development phases. In addition to designing exhibitions, this role will be responsible for designing a range of spatial projects as assigned by the Project Director, 3D. A successful candidate will be a collegial and collaborative problem solver who can exercise a wide range of creative strategies.
A successful candidate will be able to effectively communicate with external consultants, particularly fabricators and vendors, in order to realize needs of display and spatial experience. They should have experience creating design documents, familiarity with construction bid packages, custom detailing, and possess the technical and rendering skills (AutoCAD, V-Ray, Rhino, and Photoshop) to develop, present, and test design ideas visually.
Successful candidates will have one to three years of experience in architectural design, exhibition design, or architecture.
B.Arch. or M.Arch. required.

To continue their growth, their NYC studio is seeking creative Interior Designers with 2-4 years of post-graduate experience with creative and technical knowledge, skilled at developing concepts and assisting the design team on multi-family residential projects. The ideal candidate will have experience specifying interior material & furniture packages, and producing and coordinating interior design & construction documents.
Responsibilities
• Perform interior design assignments for small and large-scale projects, throughout all phases of design: concept, schematic, and design development.
• Assist to prepare and develop graphic presentations for client approval
• Collaborate with design team to develop space plans, furniture layouts, Interior Finish and FF&E selections and documentation
• Produce finish plans, furniture plans, schedules, and material selections needed for construction documentation/specifications
• Manage library and coordinate with external consultants, product representatives, furniture vendors and material suppliers
Qualifications
Preferred candidates will have:
• Professional degree in Interior Architecture or Interior Design
• Professional portfolio demonstrating passion for interior architecture and design
• Working knowledge of space planning, design methodology and design processes needed to develop concept imagery and prepare finish selections
• Highly organized and collaborative
• Excellent graphic presentation, verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines and work on various projects concurrently.
• Revit and AutoCAD proficiency
• Graphic layout experience preferred (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
• 3-D modeling and rendering experience preferred (Rhino, Grasshopper, Sketchup, VRay)

Studio Link-Arc designed the China Pavilion for Expo Milano 2015, which opened in May 2015 to international acclaim. Our office has recently completed a 500,000-square-foot educational project in Shenzhen and a 90,000-square-foot campus library. The office has been featured extensively in design media and has received many prestigious awards, including Architectural Record Design Vanguard 2015, multiple awards from the German Design Council, World Architecture Festival Small Project of the Year 2019, a Commendation from Blueprint Magazine 2018, the 2015 Bronze Award for Architecture from the Bureau of International Expositions (BIE), and a Special Mention from the Architizer A+ Awards 2021.
We are currently working on several projects, including a 1.2 million-square-foot cultural center with a 1600-seat theater, an art gallery, a public library, and multiple institutional projects.
The candidate will be the team member participating in all phases of the design work and assist in the design and technical tasks under the direction of the project architect. The ideal candidate shall have the following:
• Bachelor or above professional degree in Architecture with work or intern experience in top international design firms.
• Strong passion for architecture design, creative and energetic. Willing to learn and grow professionally.
• Outstanding design and presentation skills, self-motivated, and can adapt to a fast-paced work environment.
• Can discover, analyze, solve problems, and can communicate and cooperate with the other team members.
• Superior aesthetic sense and solid architecture knowledge, willing to be the residence/site architect as needed
• Expert in AutoCAD, Rhino, Maya, and Adobe
• Can work in bilingual (Chinese and English) professional environment preferred.
