Overview
Arkadium is seeking a Digital Marketing Strategist to join its marketing team. This is a robust marketing position for the marketer who enjoys wearing many hats. This person will report directly to the VP of Marketing. The ideal candidate will be revenue-motivated with strong strategic, analytical, and problem-solving skills. You are curious to go deep on user insights and develop and iterate on hypotheses to help drive consumer awareness, user acquisition, retention, and DAU/MAU. You will also drive marketing programs that support new products and/or features in partnership with various departments. In addition, you are excited to develop product positioning and build target personas and user journeys. You will be working in a highly collaborative, fast-paced environment across a portfolio of products, web, mobile web, and mobile.
The successful candidate will be a growth-minded person who is technical enough to understand data, campaign set-up, back-end analysis, and is able to quickly iterate on those learnings. You lean towards the quantitative but have a flair for the creative side too. You have a passion for and experience with Lifecycle marketing (including desktop and mobile app promotional channels and re-engagement mechanics), plus you enjoy and have fun playing games.
Responsibilities
• Create and execute strategically-driven and performance-based marketing campaigns that engage and grow and retain the player base by overseeing the tactical components
• Use CRM to create audience segments, funnels, targeting, and multi-variant testing
• Collaborate with internal teams (I.e., Taxonomy/data requirements, design/copy, QA, etc.) to ensure the successful deployment of campaigns
• Track and report key campaign metrics and analyze learnings to inform future success for driving user acquisition strategies and retention opportunities
• Manage monthly benchmark reporting for the marketing team
• Maintain a shared marketing calendar to ensure updates are effectively communicated and cross-functional teams have visibility into upcoming campaigns
• Perform competitive analysis to identify and understand engagement and trends to help define ASO, new product ideation, game names, and more
• Day-to-day lead contact with various vendors and freelancers
• Present findings as part of the marketing team to the company on a regular basis
• Responsible for internal communication regarding industry news and updates
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in marketing or an equivalent combination of experience and education
• 3-5+ years of digital marketing experience (PC and mobile), gaming industry preferred
• Knowledge of various marketing mechanics, including email, banners, push notifications, in-app messages, pop-ups, social content
• Analytical mindset and a proven ability to make data-driven decisions
• Familiarity with organic and paid user acquisition techniques and campaign management
• A mobile-first mindset with experience in marketing content within the App Store, Google Play Store, Facebook, and various ad networks
• Adept at writing impactful copy and directing creative across various touch points
• Experience with Leanplum, Braze, and/or Amplitude is a HUGE plus
• If tools like Sprout, Figma, and Miro sound familiar onboarding will be a breeze
• Comfortable working in a high-volume marketing department supporting multiple projects
• A good team player, a fast learner, and open to changes
• You should have a passion for playing games and an interest in casual games
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, independent, organized, and proactive; highly responsive, flexible, and adaptable.
• Excellent verbal and written skills, with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization, including external vendors
• This role requires some in-office days at our Manhattan office.
