Sales Enablement at Atlassian is a blend of art & science - the art of expanding the Atlassian 'no sales' philosophy of embracing a simplified transparency with the customer, combined with the science of understanding how to build effective product evangelists out of every individual and role in our direct and channel sales organizations.
Atlassian is looking for a Manager, Sales Readiness (Reporting to our Head of Enablement) to lead a team that onboards and trains our customer facing organizations who help Atlassian customers make informed decisions based on the capabilities of Atlassian's products.
What you'll do
• Partner with Sales Leadership, Marketing, and your enablement peers to ensure the execution of strategy amongst sales teams, to create and execute a 'common core' content approach of sales enablement programs with role-specific skills development, and to understand performance and opportunities for improvement
• Lead readiness managers in the delivery and execution of turnkey sales training programs using online learning systems, in-person workshops, and other content delivery platforms
• Ensure the team's unique processes and workflows encompass our sales methodology
• Align to role-specific skills competencies and training needs
• Drive continuous improvement in sales talent development and sales productivity
• Work with Sales Strategy and Operations to identify key metrics to evaluate enablement success, monitor them, and present performance reports.
• Seek regular feedback from sales leadership and field leadership on priorities and opportunity areas
• Support M&A efforts in transitioning newly acquired sales teams, sales methodologies, processes and systems work into the Field Operations organization
Your background
• Combination of 7 years of enterprise solutions selling, sales enablement, or sales training and enablement experience
• Proven track record of fostering strong partnerships with Sales Leadership and key leaders
• Shown ability to lead cross-departmental collaboration on strategic initiatives
• Collaborative approach: Deeply familiar with identifying the internal stakeholders that are necessary for the success of certain initiatives. Effective communication, alignment, getting buy-in, and conflict resolution techniques are must-haves with sales leadership, direct reports, and the enablement leadership team
• Confirmed ability to design and deliver sales training and development programs and measure the results
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and programs involving cross-departmental contributors and partners
• Experience using technology to build programs that scale
• Exposure to using JIRA, Confluence, Bitbucket, and other Atlassian products
