Your mission

As a Senior Commodity Buyer , you will be part of a diverse supply chain team responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for all components used in Autocar trucks. This requires a team of strong purchasing professionals focused on building positive relationships with both internal and external customers. You will execute a plan that focuses on obtaining competitive pricing while researching and executing cost reduction strategies. You will lead strategic projects for selected components and support your team and others to build a foundation with key suppliers on a commodity consolidation level . You will need to multi-task well and effectively communicate to ensure the team meets financial goals. You will build relationships in all areas of the business including sales, operations, and engineering.

• Manage all commercial activities with suppliers

• Understand commodity part manufacturing and component cost element driver , and cost structure.

• Drive negotiations and Supply agreements with suppliers within your segment strategy
• Contribute to techno-commercial roadmaps and be an active member in the Autocar LLC Buyer network
• Drive all relevant activities to deliver on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Project management and Risk mitigation towards new and existing products
• Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supplier Development team and Engineering team
• Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility

What will you do? Autocar, LLC is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment/Truck Solutions Technician to work in the Autocar Service department. The Technician is responsible for guiding the troubleshooting efforts of customer field and service center technicians, diagnosing unit concerns called in or submitted to our Solutions Call Center to ensure customer satisfaction. The Technician coordinates and works with service centers and customers on the repair activities to provide technical assistance to any individual associated with an Autocar product that has contacted Autocar for help. This role has daily interaction with key customers. Initially the Technician will participate in a well-structured inside technical support training program designed to provide a strong knowledge-base in all aspects of the business. The purpose of the program is to prepare the Technician for a successful career in Service. The ideal candidate is a demonstrated problem solver who is process driven and tenacious at determining the optimal solution for the customer. This role will handle incoming tickets for their assigned area, at times traveling to location of truck repairs with objective of ensuring low truck downtimes and high customer satisfaction.

What does it take to be a part of our team?
• Certificate from a technical institute preferred; High school diploma required
• Experience reading and understanding electrical schematics and truck part prints required
• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred
• A&P background strongly preferred
• Class A- Commercial Driver License or ability to obtain within year of start of employment
• Cummins Certification and Allison Certification are preferred.

• Working knowledge of pneumatic brakes and hydraulic systems

What will you do?

As Junior Technical Support Representative you are the face and voice of the company, representing the Autocar brand and providing a Best In Class customer experience in all interactions by upholding the Autocar Promise of Always Up. This position works with the customers on finding the correct parts they need and assisting our customers with their truck support needs.

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Production Associate will be to function in self-directed work groups/teams, responsible for the productive operation of the Assembly line.

Production Associates will be trained and asked to perform all of the various work station, line assembly, or production support operations to produce truck assemblies. • Informs Production Supervisor of any parts shortage or parts or equipment defects in a timely fashion to ensure a prompt resolution to the problem.
• Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastens parts and subassemblies by hand or through the use of various hand-held, DC, torque tools, etc.

• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
