Your mission
As a Senior Commodity Buyer , you will be part of a diverse supply chain team responsible for creating and implementing sourcing strategies for all components used in Autocar trucks. This requires a team of strong purchasing professionals focused on building positive relationships with both internal and external customers. You will execute a plan that focuses on obtaining competitive pricing while researching and executing cost reduction strategies. You will lead strategic projects for selected components and support your team and others to build a foundation with key suppliers on a commodity consolidation level . You will need to multi-task well and effectively communicate to ensure the team meets financial goals. You will build relationships in all areas of the business including sales, operations, and engineering.

• Manage all commercial activities with suppliers
• Understands and directs commodity management.
• Understand commodity part manufacturing and component cost element driver , and cost structure.
• C ross function activities with manufacturing, logistics, engineering, and supplier quality to meet cost targets and program deliverables
• Lead the supplier selection process; sources and negotiates with potential suppliers, requests RF I , RFQ, RFP evaluates and analyzes results and provide sourcing documentation and recommendations to leadership in conformance with company standards.
• Sources “best value” landed cost products through domestic, international, and LCC suppliers.
• Support Supplier Quality on PPAP process
• Maintains purchasing document
• Perform daily procurement activities related to prototype, development and production orders, logistics, quality and financial flows to the suppliers
• Develop, negotiate, and implement commodity strategies resulting in improved Supplier performance, enhanced product quality, innovative technology, and maximum value
• Drive negotiations and Supply agreements with suppliers within your segment strategy
• Contribute to techno-commercial roadmaps and be an active member in the Autocar LLC Buyer network
• Drive all relevant activities to deliver on Quality, Delivery, Cost, Project management and Risk mitigation towards new and existing products
• Monitor, identify, and mitigate risks in cooperation with the Supplier Development team and Engineering team
• Forecast cost evolution for scope of responsibility

Summary
This position is responsible for managing all aspects of service for dealerships and customers and ensures satisfaction with service work. Assists customers and dealers with troubleshooting and repair of service related problems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.
• Responsible for the overall service delivery performance levels and customer satisfaction levels of assigned Region.
• Assists in developing corrective action plans with assigned dealerships and customers to close any service delivery gaps identified.
• Tracks, reports and follows-up on product and technical issues for dealerships and customers by proactively working with Autocar Solutions Team
• Gives dealerships suggestions on improving their service department by reviewing dealer service operations to include required tooling, Promote and insure dealership has Autocar trained technicians to handle work load.
• Develops and manages strong relationships at all levels of the customer’s organization and maintains customer confidence in the Autocar product.
• Develops strong relationships with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales in their region
• Coordinates with engineering and technical service departments to develop and ensure that service performance and quality specifications are met.
• Coordinates cost effective, self managed travel schedules.

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous experience in the Heavy Duty Truck industry is required, specific experience in the Refuse industry is preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of service for dealerships and customers and ensures satisfaction with service work. Assists customers and dealers with troubleshooting and repair of service related problems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities Include The Following.
• Responsible for the overall service delivery performance levels and customer satisfaction levels of assigned Region.
• Assists in developing corrective action plans with assigned dealerships and customers to close any service delivery gaps identified.
• Tracks, reports and follows-up on product and technical issues for dealerships and customers by proactively working with Autocar Solutions Team
• Gives dealerships suggestions on improving their service department by reviewing dealer service operations to include required tooling, Promote and insure dealership has Autocar trained technicians to handle work load.
• Develops and manages strong relationships at all levels of the customer’s organization and maintains customer confidence in the Autocar product.
• Develops strong relationships with Regional Business Managers and National Account Sales in their region
• Coordinates with engineering and technical service departments to develop and ensure that service performance and quality specifications are met.
• Coordinates cost effective, self managed travel schedules.

Education and/or Experience

What will you do? Autocar, LLC is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment/Truck Solutions Technician to work in the Autocar Service department. The Technician is responsible for guiding the troubleshooting efforts of customer field and service center technicians, diagnosing unit concerns called in or submitted to our Solutions Call Center to ensure customer satisfaction. The Technician coordinates and works with service centers and customers on the repair activities to provide technical assistance to any individual associated with an Autocar product that has contacted Autocar for help. This role has daily interaction with key customers. Initially the Technician will participate in a well-structured inside technical support training program designed to provide a strong knowledge-base in all aspects of the business. The purpose of the program is to prepare the Technician for a successful career in Service. The ideal candidate is a demonstrated problem solver who is process driven and tenacious at determining the optimal solution for the customer. This role will handle incoming tickets for their assigned area, at times traveling to location of truck repairs with objective of ensuring low truck downtimes and high customer satisfaction.
What does it take to be a part of our team?
• Certificate from a technical institute preferred; High school diploma required

• Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification preferred
• A&P background strongly preferred
• Class A- Commercial Driver License or ability to obtain within year of start of employment
• Cummins Certification and Allison Certification are preferred.
