We are looking for a UX Designer with strong IA experience to join our Marketing team at Backblaze, where you will work on crafting digital experiences that attract, engage, and convert visitors on the Backblaze.com website. We’re in the process of redesigning and re-platforming our website where your experience and passions are needed.

What You'll Do:
• Conduct research and discovery to assess and ideate on the global navigation and wayfinding in the complicated and competitive landscape of cloud storage and cloud backup
• Drive forward design solutions that are great for both SEO and humans, prospective and current customers
• Wireframe, design, and propose web experiences including unifying the pricing and signup experiences across multiple products and audiences
• Work with our Creative team to refine our design system for usability and application across the site
• Tell compelling stories about your designs, present your work with confidence, and connect design decisions to business strategies
• Work closely with visual design and website engineering from design hand-off to debut to make sure the design vision gets implemented per specifications
• Collaborate with stakeholders and project partners to strategize, plan, and execute a multi-faceted and fast-moving project with high company value
• Partner with CMS authors to lay out components and build pages

The Right Fit:
• 7 years of proven web design experience
• Deep knowledge of responsive UI design and UX methodologies
• Experience conducting user research on information architecture and design concepts
• Proven experience crafting new concepts and innovative design approaches for the web
• Advanced knowledge of Figma (or similar UI design software) required
• Available portfolio or privately-shared case studies showcasing user experience work
• Understanding of web technologies and the development process
• Experience designing within a Content Management System and understanding of web production workflows
• SaaS experience preferred

You are an amazing designer who has the ability to work both within a brand style guide and evolve it with exciting new ideas that will give it a lift. You can work on projects as simple as a blog post header, to web pages, to large-scale event experiences. You’re a master at composition and type, and have a passion for illustration. We are seeking a Strategic Alliance Partner Manager to support our cloud service partnerships focusingon Backblaze B2 as primary storage. Are you ready to work with the Backblaze sales teams to drive success of Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage through our alliance partners, and guide them to long-term value and success?

What You’ll Do
• Recruit, manage, lead and track the go-to-market plan & activities for Backblaze B2 Cloud Storage alliance partners.
• Engage with key stakeholders and partner manager counterparts at partner organizations to drive success through partnership.
• Help define and deliver overall go-to-market strategy in specific market segments.
• Engage partner’s field sales organizations, channels and end customers to create and drive revenue opportunities for Backblaze B2.
• Set and manage goals/targets and work with your team, each partner and Backblaze sales organizations to achieve/exceed goals.
• Create and execute business plans with key internal stakeholders (e.g. marketing, publishing, legal, compliance, etc.).
• Establish relationships with the Backblaze sales team and partner’s business managers to work closely with each other to maximize success.
• Create and present sales training to partner sales teams.
• Assist marketing in driving success through joint marketing efforts like Webinars, Blog Posts etc.
• Understand the technical requirements of each partner solution and work closely with the internal product management team to guide the direction of Backblaze B2.
• Prepare and give business reviews to understand partnership progress and SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunity, Threats) to the senior management team.
• Gather, organize, and report back partner feedback (both technical and business) to help improve the customer and partner experience.

The Right Fit

The ideal candidate will have both a business background that enables them to engage at the CXO level, as well as a sales background that enables them to manage joint Go to Market efforts and to easily interact with Backblaze prospects and customers. This person should have a demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges within multiple technology segments as well as the capacity to build and convey compelling value propositions. The position also requires a strong technical acumen and deep familiarity with cloud storage and content delivery networks.
• 5 years of partner relationship management. This includes both sales and technical subjects.
• 5 years of technical sales experience, working directly with customers on integrating products into customer environments.
• 5 years of experience in public cloud storage, cloud data management, or data protection companies.
• Has sufficient experience with Cloud solutions.
• Strong analytical ability, and experience in making decisions based on data.
• So charismatic that cross-functional teams love working with you, strong enough that they’ll follow you anywhere.

• Ability to speak fluently to partners, senior leaders, engineers and product managers.

What You'll Do:
• Be familiar with all responsibilities of Data Center Technician descriptions.
• Manage projects and staffing for their site.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and other members of Infrastructure Leadership as needed.
• Keep up with scheduled deliveries.
• Make sure there is adequate storage space for vault deliveries.
• Know the available number of slots for vault deployment.
• Select cabinet locations for vault and core server deployment.
• Good understanding of Data Center power Distribution
• Knowledge of cabinet power requirements for their site.
• Manage cabinet power balancing.
• Work with TechOps and DC Techs to ensure deployment schedules are met.
• Ensure there are enough supplies on hand to meet deployment requests.
• Complete purchase requisition forms when needed.
• Be aware of scheduled maintenance and/or downtime at their site.
• Maintain communication with remote hands staff at the site.
• Mentor and train DC Techs and Leads.
• Understand monthly drive count and inventory audits.
• Identify gaps in processes and work with the other DC Managers to resolve and present to the documentation team
• Make sure there is coverage for the DC Tech on call rotation.
• Review and approve time off requests from DC Techs and Leads.
• Complete DC Tech time cards according to pay schedule
• Understand the CVT migration process
• Work with the NOC to ensure good procedures and communications

What You’ll Do:
• Work as Backblaze’s physical presence in East coast data centers
• Help maintain physical infrastructure including racking equipment, replacing hard drives and other system components
