This position is currently teleworking. Our Analysts assist Federal Program Managers and researchers in complying with applicable treaty, regulatory and policy frameworks, and support our client in representing the agency’s interests... in interagency and international technology policy discussions. As a key member of this team, BAI’s Treaty Compliance Analyst is responsible for facilitating department-wide compliance with applicable arms control agreements, with a particular focus on the Biological Weapons Convention (BWC) and the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC).
Responsibilities:
In this position, the successful applicant will:
• Review and assess all relevant agency-sponsored research and development activities for Treaty and Regulatory compliance and perception issues
• Coordinate logistics for senior-level meetings and briefings related to arms control compliance
• Advocate for the Department’s equities within the U.S. interagency on a variety of biological science and nonproliferation policy issues
• Serve as treaty compliance subject-matter expert for other Compliance Assurance Team colleagues
• Manage multiple compliance portfolios and related information on all agency-sponsored biological, chemical, and animal care research activities
Requirements:
• Must possess and maintain a U.S. government security clearance
• Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Biosafety, Biodefense, Nonproliferation or related subject area
• Specific knowledge of or experience with the BWC / CWC
• Strong familiarity with the life sciences (through coursework or past work experience)
• Extensive experience writing for both technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong oral communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Flexibility
Preferred Qualifications:
• Direct experience working with or supporting government clients, at the federal, state, and/or local levels
• Experience working within the U.S. government interagency
• Experience engaging with senior government or private sector leadership
• Familiarity with homeland security mission areas and the roles of science and technology in building capabilities to support these areas

• Designing, developing, executing, and maintaining tests based on product requirements and specifications.

• Create and execute manual/automated test scripts.
• Collaborating with other QA team members on the continual improvement of our testing methods and strategies.
• Work both collaboratively and independently while maintaining a high level of productivity.
• Communicate with all levels and functional areas of the BAI organization.
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
• 3+ years of experience of both manual and automated testing web applications.
• 3+ years of experience using Cypress.io or similar automation framework.
• 3+ years of experience in testing REST APIs.
• Experience in using SQL to write queries to validate data.
• Experience in version control tools like GIT, GitHub, Bitbucket, SVN, etc.
• Experience with Agile software development methodologies (e.g., Scrum)
• Hands-on working experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA.
• Strong knowledge and experience with QA methodologies, processes, tools, and the Software Release Cycle.
• Expert in methodically developing use-cases and test cases.
• Experience with testing containers (Docker) a plus.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to communicate effectively with all business stakeholders.
