Duties and Responsibilities (these duties are a general summary and not all inclusive):
• Provide support to individuals by assisting in the development and implementation of habilitative, behavioral and recreational programs in accordance with the Individual Service Plan (ISP) objectives
• Coordinate with direct supervisor(s) to ensure successful implementation of ISP's, use of appropriate methods, coordination of services and crisis intervention
• Assist and facilitate activities of daily living, such as household maintenance, self-care and hygiene, food shopping and preparation, budgeting, leisure activities and socialization skill development
• Attend individuals' review meetings and accompany them to various appointments; Transport individuals to work, recreational activities and other engagements as needed
• Maintain individuals' confidentiality and records; preserve individuals' human rights by complying with applicable laws and regulations

Preferred Qualifications
• Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain a respectful, caring, tolerant, ethical, and empowering relationship with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities;
• Capacity to assist/lift individuals with physical disabilities and/or limited mobility;
• Aptitude to transcribe, read and comprehend the English language

• Possess current and valid Class D Motor Vehicle Operator's License
• Applicants must pass the Medication Administration Program (MAP) certification
• Upon successful completion of a training program, incumbents must obtain and maintain Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid (FA) certification

Please Note

DDS fills this entry-level position on an ongoing basis as staff turnover and new program development occurs. The Department has full and part-time positions available on various shifts. Many of the positions require working every weekend with two days off in the middle of the week. Applicants must be flexible in work schedule. This is a 24-hour/7 days a week staff position. The Department requires employees in this position to be able to perform mandatory overtime when circumstances dictate the need.

This position is designated as an "EMERGENCY" position in the Department of Developmental Services Emergency Plan. This means that whenever the Governor declares that the Commonwealth is in a state of emergency, you will be required to report to work.

All employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis and must have direct deposit.

The Cultivation Associate is responsible for performing manual labor to assist in the upkeep, stocking, and fulfillment of growing high-quality cannabis, including, but not limited to: watering, feeding, flushing, pruning, washing, cloning, and transplanting under the supervision of the Cultivation Manager and Cultivation Supervisors. Cultivation Associates work as a team to ensure high productivity rates for the growth, quality, appearance, and health of plants. Communication skills, organization, attention to safety and detail, and time management are critical to the success of the cultivation team within a tightly controlled, state-regulated system.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
• Perform all irrigation and growing operations, as directed by the Cultivation Manager.
• Assist in the development, management, and implementation of IPM.
• Adhere to all sanitation and general growing protocols.
• Apply bio-pesticides, chemicals, and biologicals as required for maintaining crop health.
• Assist in the planning of the cultivation schedule ensuring that all work is appropriately prioritized and completed in a timely manner.
• Perform all phases of plant production. Ensure proper planting depth, irrigation, labeling, plant grooming, harvesting, documentation and other assigned tasks.
• Inspect all rooms daily to monitor water management, fertilization, insect and disease monitoring, sanitation, and overall plant growth, health, and appearance.
• Monitor plant development to ascertain conditions such as leaf texture, bloom size and the existence of pests or disease. Document substandard or diseased plants to maintain quality standards.
• Assist with irrigation repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Plan space allocation for new plants scheduled from production.
• Train fellow cultivators to perform their jobs as efficiently and as effectively as possible utilizing the knowledge learned by the Supervisor and Manager.
• Maintain cultivation records to include specifics about plant growth, fertilization, pest problems, and any treatment of these problems.
• Maintain inventory of needed growing and production supplies.
• Ability to learn new concepts and apply concepts to a variety of situations to improve growing methodology.
• Apply chemicals, testing, and disease prevention techniques.
• Assist with harvesting, trimming, packaging, receiving and other tasks as needed.
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and OSHA policies and procedures.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Adhere to all Compliance and Security procedures.
• Report any findings immediately to Management
