What You’ll Do
• Own the Big Think+ platform – Form the core of a new team focused on building the Big Think+ platform. Work with the CTO to develop and realize the product roadmap, select technologies, and drive the platform forward.
• Develop and maintain the documentation and test suite – Make both the application documentation and its test suite first class citizens.
• Mentor the team – As a senior engineer, mentor current and future engineers of varying skill levels and backgrounds, helping them to grow professionally in what might be their first role.
• Collaborate across the business – Work with the Big Think+ content and sales teams, among others, to understand internal and external customer needs and to design and implement the features to meet those needs.

What You'll Do
• Design – As a Senior Instructional Designer for Big Think+, you will partner with the Heads of Learning, Partner Services, and Sales to design, develop, and assess learning content for corporate partners and universities across a range of modalities (from digital courses to virtual discussion programs to e-learning campaigns).
• Write – Applying adult learning principles and education technology, you will produce, synthesize, and reinforce video lessons from subject matter experts across our Top 21 Capabilities for Personal and Organizational Development in the 21st Century. You will write, edit, and eventually coordinate content development at all stages of the development lifecycle.
• Advance – This is a high-growth position: Our talent development process is designed to help you master our learning strategy, methodology, and organizational ethos over the first 6 months to 1 year of employment, with the opportunity to coordinate a team of instructional designers and content specialists over time within your areas of particular interest and/or subject matter expertise.

What You'll Need
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Adult Learning, Instructional Design, Educational Technology or a related field; Master's Degree preferred.

About The Role

We are looking for a Director, Ad Operations to help build a world class ad platform across Freethink Media's websites and execute on campaigns. Sitting within our Freethink Revenue Team, the Director, Ad Operations will partner with our sales, publishing, and tech teams to implement and optimize the latest solutions, software, and ad tech while trafficking and optimizing live campaigns to meet and exceed the needs of our clients.

What You'll Do
• Strategize & Build – own the identification and implementation of the latest ad solutions to optimize our on site ad experience and meet the needs of today's digital media marketplace
• Traffic – build and traffic direct-sold ad campaigns and work with our client services team to optimize campaigns based on partner goals
• Troubleshoot – identify issues as they arise and provide timely solutions to any challenges
• Analyze – leverage reporting and data to distill results into easy to understand recommendations that lead to improved outcomes and instill confidence in our partnerships

What You'll Need
• 5+ years ad operations, campaign management, optimization strategies, project management, or other operational role in the digital space
• Experience managing and optimizing ad campaigns that meet specific client KPI goals
• Experience with programmatic campaigns and solutions
• Knowledge of Google Ad Manager, Ad Servers, DSPs, DMPs, and 3rd Party vendors
• Strong written communication and team leadership skills
• Creative problem solving skills and the ability to understand a business' marketing challenges, objectives, and goals.
• Organization skills and the ability to work with multiple stakeholders across the business
• Client-Centric mindset and an interest in joining meetings to learn more about how we can help our partners
• You understand that even the best ideas need solid data insights to support the business case, and you know where to look and how to source the data you need to make that case

What You'll Do
• Tier 1 support for employees' IT issues
• Purchase and provision computers and computer accessories to employees
• Manage software updates
• Steward data through the video post-production pipeline
• Oversee PostgreSQL databases for DaVinci Resolve
• Oversee FreeNAS storage servers
• Oversee LTO tape backups and archives
• Expand and update documentation

What You'll Need
• 2+ years of professional experience within IT
• Ability to commute to Washington, D.C office
• Strong attention to detail, ability to be proactive, and a positive, can-do attitude
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clearly and thoughtfully
• Strong time management skills, with an ability to triage issues as they arise
• Empathy for fellow employees who require technical assistance
• Openness to feedback and challenge and a desire for continuous learning and improvement
• Proficiency in macOS, Windows, and Linux environments
• Mastery of FreeNAS/TrueNAS operating system, ZFS, and sharing network protocols
• Familiarity with basic networking
• Familiarity with CLI: zsh/bash, vim, PowerShell, ssh, rsync
• Preferred: Familiarity with Amazon Web Services a plus
• Preferred: Knowledge of video post-production a plus
