Requirements:
• Loads Blender with weighed material and blends product to customer specifications. Job Duties: Duties may include but are not limited to the following:
• Requests materials from the warehouse as needed. •Inspects various product components to assure that correct and acceptable material is being used.
• Weighs product components to customer specifications and loads them into a blender.
• Responsible for recording all lot and product code numbers on batch sheets for traceability purposes. •Is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment and blenders to company specifications.
• Completes various forms to record data.
• Reports food safety or food quality issues to an authority who can initiate action. Required Competencies & Knowledge: Knowledge of:
• Hearthside procurement, products, and production processes.
• Must be able to read and write in English and perform Basic Math skills.
• Troubleshooting Self-motivated.

• Stand, walk, and climb stairs frequently
• Must be able to lift 20 pounds frequently.
• Follow all current and future safety policies, always.
• Participate in all safety training and pass written exams.
• Wear safety glasses, hair net, ear protection, and smock always in the production/warehouse area of the plant.
• Report all accidents/incidents immediately to the proper person.
• Provide post-accident drug screen.
• Lifting to 60 pounds. In terms of a 12-hour workday, “Occasionally” equals 1% to 33%, “Frequently” equals 34% to 66%, and “Continuously” equals 67% to 100% of the time. In a 12-hour workday the job holder should be able to: •Continuously stand and walk.
• Occasionally bend/stoop, squat, twist, push/pull, kneel and crouch.
• Occasionally reach above shoulder level.
• Occasionally climb to a height of approximately ten (10) feet.
• Occasionally carry/lift to sixty (60) pounds. •Occasionally use his/her legs, arms, and shoulders to push/pull items.
• Occasionally use his/her head and neck in flexing and rotating. •Continuously be around moving machinery. •Occasionally operate a forklift and/or powered pallet jack.

• Effectively communicate and collaborate with the cellar staff and other departments such as lab, winemaking, bottling, EH&S, and maintenance.
• Identify and report equipment and safety issues and violations to cellar leadership.
• Assist in the transfer, racking or blending of wines and juices.
• Assist in the filtration of wines and juices.
• Clean and/or sterilize tanks, hoses, pumps, and other related winemaking equipment.
• Assist in the treatment of wines and juices with fining agents and/or cellar chemicals as directed
• Assist in the preparation of cellar chemicals and ingredients.
• Use forklift to move equipment and chemicals and ingredients as needed.
• Responsible for understanding the Food Safety and Quality Management System and related activities, including the Food Safety & Quality Policy.
• Food Safety Responsibility: Report problems with the food safety management system to supervisor.
• Familiarity with ISO Quality Systems.
Where barreling operations exist:
• Barrel related activities: moving barrels, filling, emptying, topping, additions.
• Help clean and maintain wood barrels and tanks.
Qualifications:

• Education: High School Diploma or G.E.D. required
• Ability to work nights, swing shift, and weekends
• Experience: Previous harvest/winery experience required
• Good observation and communication skills (written and verbal) essential
• Attention to detail and ability to follow through with assignments and projects

• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as a "team player"
• Ability to respond to frequently changing production pressures

Working Conditions:
• Moderate to heavy physical work
• Work site may be any one of Trinchero Family Estates’ facilities
• Standing for long periods of time (8 hours per day)
• Must comply with all safety procedures and equipment requirements including respirator, ear plugs and safety glasses

The blender is responsible for fully preparing and personally certifying large batches of dry food ingredients in accordance with Company specifications for use in the manufacturing process. This key position ensures that our food products contain only what they are supposed to contain and in the right proportions.
2nd Shift 2:30pm to 11pm Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts with voluntary and mandatory overtime as needed. With one 20-minute paid lunch break and one 30-minute unpaid lunch break.
Key responsibilities
• Accurately weigh and measure ingredients for use in blends.
• Maintain accurate paper records of the quantities of ingredients added to batches.
• Use basic math skills, including fractions, to calculate quantities of ingredients needed for partial batches.
• Assist with detailed cleaning activities in blending room as well as other areas of plant on a regular basis.
• Deliver a clean, well-ordered blending room to replacement each shift.
• Operate a vacuum-assisted lift, digital scales, paper recycling compressor, pallet lift, and mixer.
• Stage all required materials for pending blends in advance of shift change.
Qualifications and skills
• High School Diploma or GED preferred, but no required.
• Must be able to tolerate the listed physical and environmental demands of this position with or without accommodations.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in written form.
• Must have some work experience doing heavy manual labor within the last 5 years.
• Previous manufacturing experience preferred.
