Role Description

// Masabi’s activities range from directly serving transit agencies in the small to medium end of the market to working with global system integrators (Accenture, Fujitsu etc.) to serve the largest cities around the world.

The Director, PMO and Delivery Excellence is a seasoned PMO in program management, process improvement, and change management. This role is directly responsible for formalising and centralising PMO best practices and ensuring program teams have best practices in PM frameworks, how-to playbooks with use cases, fit-for-purpose tools, templates, and KPIs to implement large-scale, multi-year, complex programs effectively.

Responsibilities
• Serve as the Chief of Staff to the SVP of PMO and Global Deployments
• Establish and maintain portfolio management processes, tools, and governance, including project selection, prioritisation, initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure processes
• Ensure effective handoffs, pipeline management, and forecasting of resource requests

Governance and Escalation Management:
• Lead and own project governance, reporting, and tracking of the customer deployment portfolio, ensuring alignment with financial targets and contracted scope
• Monitor and report on project and PMO performance using defined key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular updates to senior leadership and stakeholders
• Collaborate with senior leadership to identify and address project-related issues, risks, and opportunities
• Advise team on impacts and interdependencies between programs
• Serve as primary escalation path for resolution and mitigation of risks and issues, and (v) communicate performance against targets

Contract / RFP Support:
• Work directly with Sales and Bid Support team to ensure RFPs and Contracts include best practices and lessons learned for delivering projects with realistic implementation schedules

Train and Consult:
• Develop and implement project management training and development programs to enhance project management skills and competencies across the organisation
• Provide guidance and support to project managers and project teams, ensuring adherence to organisational project management standards and methodologies

Process Improvement:
• Continuously evaluate and improve PMO processes, methodologies, and tools to ensure ongoing effectiveness and adaptability
• Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and project management excellence within the PMO

Role Requirements

• Experience managing complex programs
• Experience leading and or being a leader in a PMO organisation
• Experience working with a technology product that has an associated partner ecosystem
• Experience with project management, compliance and business system frameworks such as PMI, Agile, Prince2, ITIL, Lean, Six Sigma, PCI etc.
• Experience scaling teams and being responsible for deploying a technology product, preferably a SaaS platform deployed into multiple geographies
• Experience with enterprise or government organisations (either as a client but preferably as a supplier) operating within an RFP model
• Exposure to financial forecasting, likely supporting the process implemented by a finance team

THE ROLE :
• Develop business across a mix of enterprise level customers across the spectrum
• Generate revenue and work closely with a network of Channel Partners to successfully sell the VAST Data offering
• Manage the sales process to align with customer buying cycles
• Manage customer relationships from first meeting through (optional) proof of concept as well as after the sale to enable opportunities to expand the VAST Data footprint.
• Develop and present proposals to customers with information that demonstrates the ability of the VAST solution to meet customers’ business objectives and justify the sale.
• Prospect, penetrate large accounts, reaching decision-makers, and closing business.

Requirements
• Consistent track record of exceeding quota and driving referenceable business with large enterprise customers.
• A history of developing selling regions from the ground up, with little resources.
• Passion for developing account expansion strategies and the value of post-sales customer success.
• Excellent time management and communication skills.
• Desire to drive change and evangelize new technologies in a way that resonates with customers.
• Minimum of 7 years Direct Enterprise selling experience
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment experience is key, a mix of large company and startup experience.
• The ability to speak with customers and partners at both a business-level and technical-level
• Knowledge of the storage industry specifically : NFS, Object Storage and Enterprise Computing architectures.
• Competitive attitude and strong work ethic with the ability to enthusiastically represent the company.
• Proficient with Salesforce.com and Microsoft Office

Principal Accountabilities:

Manage and direct processes and R&D (research and development) to meet the needs of our AI strategy

Understand bank's and client challenges and how integrating AI capabilities can help lead to solutions

Lead the development of conversational AI systems that can understand and respond to natural language inputs.

Work with cross-functional teams to identify business requirements and design AI solutions that meet those requirements.

Analyze and explain AI and machine learning (ML) solutions while setting and maintaining high ethical standards

Advise CIO and IT leadership team on a broad range of technology, strategy, and policy issues associated with AI

Conduct assessments of the AI and automation market and competitor landscape

Develop algorithms and models that can improve the accuracy and effectiveness of our chatbot systems.

Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in conversational AI and natural language processing.
Requirements

Principal Accountabilities:

Minimum of a bachelor's degree

Two or more years of experience in applying AI to practical and comprehensive technology solutions

Experience with ML, deep learning, Tensor Flow, Python, NLP

Experience in program leadership, governance, and change enablement

Knowledge of basic algorithms, object-oriented and functional design principles, and best-practice patterns

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Demonstrated ability to lead others.

Analytical and review skills with the ability to draw the correct conclusions from reviews

Time management and organization skills with the ability to prioritize and multi-task
