Looking for a change from the NHS? Come and work as a Staff Grade Psychiatrist in Jersey! We have two new permanent staff grade positions. One in inpatient and the other in the Adult Community Mental Health Team.
Investment in Mental health care in Jersey has led to a redesign and an expansion of our community services, so we are seeking an additional enthusiastic staff grade to be part of our growing community mental health team. Caseload numbers and staffing are very manageable compared with the UK.
We have also received significant investment in our inpatient services with improvement of our offer for patients and there will be a newly refurbished ward from late 2022. So we are looking for a permanent staff grade to join the inpatient team. Staffing ratios and bed occupancy rates are again really favourable compared with the UK.
Members of our team are experienced, supportive and willing to share their knowledge.
There is also the possibility to rotate into different staff grade positions over time if desired to help develop your career.
It is a really great time to come to Jersey. We are currently in the middle of the comprehensive programme to transform health and social care, including a new hospital project. Jersey is a prosperous island with much closer interaction with political processes than the UK which creates unique potential to shape how we deliver health care. We are not part of the NHS.
Jersey is the sunniest place in the UK and at the gateway to Europe with great beaches, good schools and low crime rates. I would encourage you to come and try it for yourself!
Under Jersey Law, applicants must possess FULL registration with the General Medical Council and hold a licence to practise.
For further information or to apply, please click the apply button.
Closing date: 21 March 2023.
Please feel free to contact the clinical leads Dr Rachel Ruddy r.ruddy@health.gov.je or Professor Max Marshall m.marshall@health.gov.je 01534445841 for more information or for a discussion Show more details...
