This individual will be the first point of contact for firm employees, providing a high level of tier 1 hardware and software technical support.
Competencies and Position Requirements
• Ability to ensure a high quality service for clients
• Experience responding to and resolving complex client issues through incident recognition, research, resolution, escalation, and follow up
• Identify when to escalate technical issues regarding more specialized attention form the Help Desk Supervisor
• Communicate potential issues and trends with clients or end users to the Help Desk Manager and Supervisor
• Maintaining a secure network infrastructure and promote security awareness amongst users
• Collaboratewith other Help Desk Analysts on the following:

About the Position

BNN is seeking a Tax Manager to work in our Private Client Services practice with a focus on international tax matters. The Tax Manager is responsible for providing compliance, planning, and consulting services to expatriate and foreign national tax clients as well as multi-generational high wealth families with cross-border businesses and investments.

• Advanced knowledge of tax compliance and planning at both the federal and state levels in the areas of individuals, trusts, and estates
• Ability to manage a high volume of deliverables under time constraints
• Participate in client meetings and collaborate with the team to deliver high quality services that meet or exceed client expectations
• Responsible for timely and effectively explaining tax objectives, budget information, and other relevant engagement information to staff and seniors
• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state returns for U.S. residents, expatriates, and foreign nationals
• Adhere to reporting requirements related to foreign income, foreign trusts, foreign tax credits, foreign assets, and controlled foreign corporations
• Work closely with foreign tax advisors to eliminate or minimize double taxation
• Advise employers on payroll and tax matters related to their mobile employees on international assignment
• Assist with preparation of IRS Streamlined and Offshore Voluntary Disclosure Program (OVDP) filings for clients disclosing foreign assets and income through IRS amnesty programs
• Work will include federal and state individual income tax returns, fiduciary income tax returns, gift tax returns, and estate tax returns
• Provides seniors and staff with timely, honest, and constructive feedback and serves as a formal and/or informal mentor to staff as appropriate
Education and Experience
• Minimum of 5 years of experience providing tax compliance and planning services to high net worth individuals and family groups
• Experience with expatriate taxation and foreign trust would be a plus
• CPA or JD (MST or LLM in Taxation a plus)
