ABOUT THE JOB

Our Sales Team team is searching for their future Account Executive. Account Executives will prospect, evaluate, and acquire new business opportunities that align with Bonfire’s revenue goals. This is a quota-carrying role and will be responsible for communicating directly with clients and prospects, understanding their individual needs, recommending Bonfire’s products that maximize value, and ensuring they have a successful first experience on our platform.

This role lies within our Sales department and reports to the Sales Manager – Emerging Accounts.

ABOUT THE JOB

Our Operations team is searching for their future Vice President of Production Operations (Vice President). The Vice President is responsible for the evaluation and management of the production process which includes internal teams as well as outside contractors who fulfill and ship our product. The Vice President manages the internal design, production, content moderation, and supply chain teams. They are responsible for planning, managing, and tracking the production process from design concept to execution to delivery. They will identify, develop, evaluate, and action strategic initiatives in support of Bonfire’s production operations and fulfillment services and serve as a trusted advisor to the greater senior leadership team while cultivating and enhancing positive and effective relationships with our external partners. This is a highly visible role that will report to the Chief Financial Officer and work extensively with Bonfire’s leadership.

The Vice President will also work closely with marketing, sales, finance, and product with the responsibility to optimize efficient, profitable growth through process improvement, automation, outsourcing and other levers while maintaining/improving the quality consistency of delivered merchandise. They are responsible for oversight of sourcing/procurement, cost, quality, fill rate, on-time delivery, and alignment with the strategic sourcing plan.

Our future Vice President will have significant experience in fulfillment operations, preferably with (custom) apparel, and will be responsible for delivering balanced operating results in the areas of planning, design, purchasing, quality, and manufacturing.

• This position manages at least 30 individuals, including 3-4 direct reports, with diverse responsibilities including supply chain, purchasing/inventory control, logistics, design, product integrity/compliance, content moderation, and pre-production
• This position has significant budgetary responsibility of over $25 million annually
• This position works directly with People & Culture on employment actions, including hiring and contracting individuals, corrective actions, personnel development, and terminations

• Minimum of a BA; Business, Finance, Engineering, or related degrees preferred.
• 7-10+ years of relevant experience, ideally in the apparel industry and including a mix of logistics, fulfillment, supply chain, and e-commerce.

the role.

As a star-studded Account Managers (AM), you'll play a critical role in fulfilling the Bonfire Effect mission to be the best creative brand-builders and storytellers who hear, love, and inspire people. Our passion is to fuel contagious love by helping people thrive, having fun, and telling stories that stand out. Your role in this mission involves managing key accounts and maintaining excellent relationships with clients, employees, and suppliers. As a key player in the account services department, you'll be the main point of contact for three to five key accounts, helping steer the day-to-day activities of the Project Managers (PMs) and Project Coordinators (PCs). And since we're not a top-heavy, ego-driven agency, you're welcome (and encouraged) to jump in and help with whatever feeds your personal fire.

day in the life.

At Bonfire Effect, the Account Manager is accountable for five key functions, including:

Manage and nurture accounts
• Build and maintain strong, long-lasting client relationships while serving as the lead point of contact for all customer account management matters.
• Consistently show strong interpersonal and communication skills, finesse delicate client relationships while driving the agency to produce its best results. Know when to push and when to let things simmer.
• Be first point of contact for areas of escalation and provide sound judgement on how to handle complex situations pertaining to client satisfaction.
• Show off successes. Make it easy for your client to look good. Share results and metrics. Pull reports before they asks. Create an easily-forwardable email or meeting summary. Share it internally, too - your team pulled it off!

Account strategic planning
• Be an expert on our products and services-including strategy, brand, content, campaigns, and web-and know how to apply your expertise to help grow (and challenge) our clients and prospects.
• Demonstrate strong finesse, stress management, and organization skills to effectively balance the needs of the client against the agency's bottom line, while being driven by a complex timeline of tasks.
• Don't be an order taker and push back tastefully (that's why they hired us). But at the same time, know when to give in.
• Own the lifecycle of a project. Understand the ask, define the scope, write the brief, manage the creep, and deliver work worth celebrating.
• Yes, you'll need to be comfortable talking about money. For most clients, conversations about money aren't awkward. It's the surprise at the end when you're 250% over budget and didn't warn them that's awkward.
• Be the ultimate quality control on the accounts you lead, ensuring our work lives up to our quality standards and delivers on scope and assignment. If work leaves the agency, you - personally - take responsibility for it being on time, on target, and on budget.

Team leading, coordinating
• Demonstrate strong collaboration and teamwork skills, bringing excitement, alignment, and value to each project.
• Provide strategic direction and task management for support staff (PMs, PCs, interns) and creative team.
• Effectively communicate client agendas to other staff members. In other words, be the voice of the client and understand their motivations and preferences deeply. Be able to accurately communicate not only the basics of a project, but the more subtle preferences and politics that will make the agency invaluable to the client.
• Understand the concept of feedback. Feedback is not a yes or no proposition. Whether it's strategy or creative, keep the client talking. Find out what elements they like / don't like. What the key issues are. What - specifically - is off strategy. Where their concerns are coming from, etc. Never come back to the agency with “they hate it.“

Business development
• Seek new opportunities to add value to existing clients. Stay on top of your client's industry and competition. Understand key successes our agency has had in similar categories. Try to come to every major meeting with a new idea or approach.
• Network online and offline to find new business opportunities.
• Learn to qualify leads by discerning fit, alignment, competition, and timeline.
• Lead and manage new business presentations, scope definition, and proposal response (don't worry, we don't waste time responding to blind RFPs).
• Support general marketing activities in some way (e.g. events, videos, blogs, social, etc.) when client workload permits.

Leading meetings and presenting
• Be passionate about presenting. You're representing the best work and advice our agency has to offer. Be proud of it. Convey enthusiasm. Get the client talking.
• Prepare and research, develop presentation and/or agendas, identify optimal team, determine meeting roles / responsibilities, and be the meeting QB for internal, new business, and existing client meetings.
• Bring fun and enthusiasm to every meeting. A meeting with Bonfire Effect should be the best meeting of our client's day. So let go and have fun! (it's one of our core values).
• Be confident in your presentation skills, and ability to plan, prepare, and adapt on the fly.

what you'll need.

Minimum requirements
• Bachelor's degree or higher in marketing, advertising, PR, or relevant field
• Minimum of 4 years' experience in agency account management or marketing management
• Interest in and aptitude for creative business and marketing solutions, especially those that involve adult beverages, pizza, or chocolate (although our snack room also offers unsalted nuts and nitro coffee if that's more your speed)
• General knowledge of website design and build process
• Willing to lead clients, teams, and vendors with humility and servitude (we're OK with apologizing when we make mistakes)
• SmartSheet, Excel, or other Google Sheets; able to sustain spreadsheet engagement for longer than 15 minutes without losing consciousness
• All the necessary tech stack expertise, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); marketing automation platform, Adobe CC, and PM software experience a bonus.
• Reliable means of transportation (car, bike, motorcycle, bus, longboard, rollerblades anything goes as long as you get to our Old Town HQ)

Nice-to-haves (but not a deal-breaker)
• Extensive B2B and / or enterprise, corporate marketing experience
• Project management certifications (e.g. Scrum, Agile, PMI, etc.)
• Project management tools (e.g., Basecamp, Timely, Jira, Confluence, Asana, etc.)
• Marketing automation tools including Eloqua, Marketo, Hubspot, and/or Salesforce
• Social media strategy and management, including Facebook Ads Manager and scheduling tools such as Sprout Social, Hootsuite, Buffer, etc.
