POSITION PURPOSE
This position is primarily responsible for performing tasks involved with part preparation for foundry.
Ensures to perform various tasks related to production flow.
TYPICAL JOB DUTIES
• Ensure continuous production, minimizing down time.
• Verify that all parts have a routing card.
• Work closely with supervisor/team leader, and other members of your team to coordinate your daily activities.
• Verify part quality before, during and after bracket removal.
• Verify part cleanliness (ex.: loose shell, dirt, etc.) before placing loaded wagon on dry racks.
• Sign and prepare all necessary documents related to the piece.
• Keep unload area clean and clutter free.
• Empty out dust collectors daily or bi-daily.
• Ensure that all the equipment function properly and notify your team leader of any malfunction that may occur.
• Use product criteria and activity instructions for guidance.
• Empty out sand from rain sanders and clean grills.
• Daily verifications of working tools (ex.: hammers, impact wrenches, scrapers, etc) and notify your team leader if there is a shortage.
• Working close with your supervisor and colleagues to eliminate non-value added operations.
• Eliminate waste caused by the process, material handling and unnecessary traveling.
• When problems arise always have a possible solution to recommend. Do not only bring the problem.
• Practice good housekeeping. A place for everything and everything in its place
• Respects the values and code of ethics of the company.
• Respects the Environment, Health & Safety programs of the company.

• Assurer une production continue, en minimisant les temps d'arret.
• Verifiez que toutes les pieces ont une carte de routage.
• Travailler en etroite collaboration avec le superviseur/chef d'equipe et les autres membres de votre equipe pour coordonner vos activites quotidiennes.
• Verifier la qualite des pieces avant, pendant et apres le retrait du support.
• Verifier la proprete des pieces (ex. : coquille lache, salete, etc.) avant de placer la piece sur le wagon.
• Signer et preparer tous les documents necessaires lies a la piece.
• Gardez la zone de dechargement propre et sans encombrement.
• Videz les depoussiereurs tous les jours ou tous les deux jours.
• Assurez-vous que tous les equipements fonctionnent correctement et avisez votre chef d'equipe de tout dysfonctionnement qui pourrait survenir.
• Utilisez les criteres du produit et les instructions d'activite pour vous guider.
• Videz le sable des ponceuses et nettoyez les grilles.
• Verifications quotidiennes des outils de travail (ex. : marteaux, cles a chocs, grattoirs, etc.) et aviser votre chef d'equipe en cas de manque ou de bris.
• Lorsque des problemes surviennent, ayez toujours une solution possible a recommander. Ne vous contentez pas d'amener le probleme.
• Pratiquer un bon entretien menager. Une place pour chaque chose et chaque chose a sa place
