Position Summary:

1. Preferred Qualifications:

Essential Duties:
The Department seeks candidates for a one-year, full-time, benefited temporary faculty position. The successful candidate will teach in both the undergraduate and graduate programs. Course subjects may include graduate level aphasia, voice, fluency, speech sound disorders, assessment and diagnostics, dysphagia or medically related fields and undergraduate level anatomy and physiology, phonetics, language acquisition, and language disorders.
The successful candidate must also:
Demonstrate ability to use technology effectively in online and in-person teaching, and learning designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.
Utilize an equity- minded framework to prepare lesson plans which incorporate varied instructional techniques, multi-media, integration strategies designed to meet the educational, culturally relevant, and emotional needs of our students.
Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective learning. Encourage student success to all students regardless of race.
Faculty members are expected to advise students, contribute service at the department, college and university levels as well as engage in ongoing scholarship and professional activity.
Required Qualifications:
Terminal degree, PhD or EdD in a related field by September 1, 2023.
ASHA CCC/SLP and Massachusetts licensure in SLP or eligibility.

Bridgewater State University’s Department of Fiscal Affairs provides stakeholders and the campus community with timely, relevant, and accurate fiscal reporting in accordance with federal, state, and other laws and regulations. The Fiscal Affairs Department oversees the areas of general accounting, treasury, grant reporting, and fiscal functions of the University and the University’s component units.
We are looking for equity-minded applicants who demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in our community.
Under the direction of the Assistant Comptroller, the Accountant III is responsible for daily support of the reconciliations of cash receipts, disbursement cycle entries, and fiscal-related activities of both the University and University’s Component Units. This position will aid in maintaining the University’s official accounting records to ensure they are properly maintained in accordance with external laws and reporting requirements, internal policies, and generally accepted accounting principles and to ensure the accuracy of the University and Component Unit’s financial records.
Supervision Received: The Accountant III works under the direct supervision of the Assistant Comptroller, Fiscal Affairs. The position also provides direct support to the Comptroller, Assistant Comptroller – Foundation / Alumni, as well as the Director of Student Accounts, as necessary.
This is an AFSCME unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement.
Tour of Duty: TBD am to pm, Monday through Friday*
(Saturdays and Sundays as days off)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Responsible for daily reconciliation of the University bank accounts. Monitor high volume of cash, checks, and credit card deposits and ensure all bank deposits reconcile to our Ellucian Banner accounting system. Track other bank entries such as wires and other receipts/disbursements. This includes running reports, maintaining extensive spreadsheets in balance, reviewing files, and communicating with other members of Fiscal Affairs and Student Accounts.
2. Reconcile all bank statements including the component units.
3. Post stop payments and voids of checks in the bank and Banner.
4. Run disbursement cycles including checks, direct deposits, wires, and payments on the Commonwealth’s MMARS system (Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System).
5. Prepare BARS (Billing and Accounts Receivables System) and 901 monthly reporting to the Commonwealth and enter documents into MMARS.
6. Monitor unclaimed property by sending notification letters to students and/or vendors, as well as preparing for submission to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, both monthly and annually, and to other states as needed.
7. Prepare/Enter journal entries and feeds into Banner for approval and posting.
8. Perform other duties as requested, such as special projects, testing, and gathering information for audits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
1. Responsible for daily reconciliation of the University bank accounts. Monitor high volume of cash, checks, and credit card deposits and ensure all bank deposits reconcile to our Ellucian Banner accounting system. Track other bank entries such as wires and other receipts/disbursements. This includes running reports, maintaining extensive spreadsheets in balance, reviewing files, and communicating with other members of Fiscal Affairs and Student Accounts.
2. Reconcile all bank statements including the component units.
3. Post stop payments and voids of checks in the bank and Banner.
4. Run disbursement cycles including checks, direct deposits, wires, and payments on the Commonwealth’s MMARS system (Massachusetts Management Accounting and Reporting System).
5. Prepare BARS (Billing and Accounts Receivables System) and 901 monthly reporting to the Commonwealth and enter documents into MMARS.
6. Monitor unclaimed property by sending notification letters to students and/or vendors, as well as preparing for submission to the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, both monthly and annually, and to other states as needed.
7. Prepare/Enter journal entries and feeds into Banner for approval and posting.
8. Perform other duties as requested, such as special projects, testing, and gathering information for audits.

· Oversee the development and production of marketing materials that meets institutional standards in the development of content and use of logos in marketing projects, including print, electronic and novelty materials in partnership with Division of Marketing and Communications.
· Manage and implement comprehensive assessment efforts inclusive of the analysis of assessment methods and results and report such results to inform data driven decision making for programs, services, and activities as they align with the strategic plan and core duties.
· Coordinate communication workflows, marketing plans, and departmental presence for signature events and programs like but not limited to Admissions Fall Preview Days, Admitted Student programs, Kick-Off, Homecoming, Orientation, Convocation and other major department and university events, utilizing department and university platforms.
· Actively support departmental programs and initiatives including but not limited to new student orientation, student employment processes, theme week programming, and large-scale department supported events; lead one other departmental project or program as determined annually.
· Manage evening and weekend events as necessary/assigned.
· Create, manage and run reports as needed in university reporting systems.
· Utilize diversity and social justice practices to promote student success as it relates to your core duties.
· Additional duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 2-5 years prior experience in campus activities and/or orientation administrative roles, program advising, and/or student communications or similar fields.

· Commitment to customer service excellence/support to enhance an environment of equity, diversity and inclusion

The Center for Student Engagement was established to plan, implement, support, and cultivate opportunities, programs and experiences for Bridgewater State University students from pre-enrollment through commencement and their transition to an active alumni status. Successful candidates will be staff members that can work collaboratively with their colleagues in CSE and across the university to meet the mission of the department in serving and supporting our racially and ethnically diverse campus community.
The Center for Student Engagement executes its mission through:
• Facilitating the university’s orientation and new student transition programs both prior to their enrollment and through their first semester at BSU.
• Campus-wide program development, and advising roles, the department will offer students the chance to develop leadership skills and experience interpersonal interaction that will enhance their personal and academic lives.
• Providing guidance to BSU’s 80+ student organizations, supports the planning and implementation of over 400 events per academic year (including 70+ planned by Program Council).
• Overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Rondileau Student Union, creating a welcoming environment for all members of the BSU community.
• Building connections with families of students to ensure each student receives support in as many ways as possible.
The Assistant Director, Outreach and Pathways for the Center for Student Engagement will work as a strategic liaison between the University’s Marketing and Communication Department, Division of Student Affairs and Enrollment Management and the CSE to ensure seamlessness in brand experience and timeliness in marketing milestones. This person serves as the primary manager in the tracking, and measurement of student engagement through the development and implementation of intentional pathway programs in collaboration with campus partners.

Essential Duties:
· Develop and implement pathway programs that guide a talented and diverse student community through intentional programs and opportunities throughout their BSU career. Pathways may include First Year, Continuing Student (Sophomore/Junior), Graduating Student.
· Coordinate with other campus departments to include programs and opportunities they are sponsoring which support the objectives and outcomes of pathway programs.
· Utilize equity and inclusive practices to manage the department’s marketing and communication strategies, and promotional materials to engage with all students, and family members to market programs and build institutional affinity. Additionally, serve as the primary contact for the department.
· Manage department social media presence and branding profile. Create culturally relevant and inclusive content and provide regular updates as to office hours and offers. Promote campus, office, and student organization events. Support University marketing campaigns. Interact with and answer student questions and requests for more information.
· Serve as the communication specialist for the department by maintaining the digital signs, social media accounts and the website regularly.
· Build working relationships with a diverse student body, faculty, and staff to create content development, promote student and employment activities and achievements for the Family Hub including; (CampusESP platform), EngageBSU (CampusGroups platform), Mobile App (ReadyEducation platform).
