As Director of Product Marketing, you are responsible for building and leading Brightpearl’s product marketing organization. Your main objectives will be to manage the launch of new products and features that help drive pipeline growth. You’ll do this by understanding what value our product brings to... customers, and crafting meaningful messaging and positioning content that takes products to market successfully.

Outside of the more traditional PMM responsibilities, you’ll also collaborate closely with the marketing team to develop innovative campaigns and product launches that drive demand and increase adoption. You will speak in detail about how to best take products to market and you’ll leverage your curiosity around solution-selling to ensure colleagues, customers, and partners understand Brightpearl’s value.

This role is strategic and will be responsible for understanding how and where PMM can be impactful now and in the future across the organization. However, it also requires tactical and operational responsibilities that involve owning and executing important day-to-day tasks. What does that mean? We’re looking for someone who knows how to show initiative and offer unique ideas that drive the business forward. But also someone who genuinely enjoys rolling up their sleeves and working alongside colleagues to achieve team objectives.

This role will report to the CMO and will be responsible for hiring and managing a growing team of PMMs. Remote candidates will be considered in the following US locations (TX, PA, OH, MD, TN, VA, IL, and NC).

Your Day-to-Day
• Craft meaningful value propositions based on new products and releases of existing products, while managing, planning, and executing GTM and commercialization efforts of those releases.
• Develop internal enablement tools (sales presentations, competitive battlecards, etc.) and external collateral (one-pagers, webinars, etc.) that assist our sales and partnership teams.
• Be a market expert on our buyers (who they are, how they buy, etc.) and the competitive landscape (who they are, how they’re positioned, etc.)
• Collaborate, plan, and execute marketing campaigns by offering creative ideas and owning/managing PMM tasks.
• Be a product evangelist and enthusiastic spokesperson who can speak with internal audiences as well as external stakeholders (customers, press, analysts, podcasts, etc.)
• Build meaningful relationships with the sales team by acting as a key contributor and expert about the Brightpearl target market and product ecosystem.
• Recruit, hire, and develop the PMM team through 1:1 feedback and performance reviews.
• Train and mentor team members on general product marketing knowledge and monitor team performance.
• Own the customer communications around product roadmap updates including management, planning, and participation of product roadmap webinars and other relevant activities.

About You
• Extensive product marketing and people management experience.
• B2B product marketing experience, with technical software PMM experience preferred.
• Experience working closely with high-performing sales teams and ensuring they understand the problems products solve for customers.
• Basic design skills to craft clear and visually appealing sales materials and presentation decks for various activities like trainings, webinars, events, internal company updates, etc.
• Proficient in Google Workspace and comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools like Slack and Salesforce.
• Familiar with project management software like Asana or Monday.com and experience using competitive intelligence platforms like Klue.
• A strong public speaker who is comfortable speaking in front of large, senior groups both internally and externally.
• Knowledge of retail and e-commerce verticals is a plus.
• Pragmatic Institute Certified (PMC) III or higher preferred.

Benefits
• Join one of Austin’s Best Places to Work 2022
• Competitive compensation package: salary, medical benefits, 20 days of annual PTO and 12 Holidays and Your Birthday
