Cameron University’s Men’s Tennis Program is looking for a Graduate Assistant Coach who wants to join a professionally run NCAA Division II athletic program.

Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Assist head coach and coaching staff in daily operations of program, on-court coaching, court maintenance, recruiting, fundraising, and community involvement.
• Monitoring the academic progress of the student athletes.
• Assist with driving for team travel and/or recruiting.
• All responsibilities will be assigned by the head coach including adherence to all rules and regulations of Cameron University, the Lone Star Conference, and the NCAA.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Candidate must have a Bachelor’s degree and a willingness to learn the entire operations of running a college tennis program.
• Candidate must have an outgoing personality with the desire to enter the coaching field as a career after obtaining a Master’s Degree.
• Candidate must have a US Driver’s License.

SALARY RANGE:

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Teaching duties will include introductory and advanced microbiology courses with laboratories, and additional lower-level and upper-level courses in the individual's area of expertise.

Faculty members at Cameron University have a 24-hour annual teaching load (12 hours per term) including laboratory instruction. Faculty members are expected to participate actively in academic advising, general education and program assessment, program improvement activities, departmental recruitment and retention efforts, departmental governance, and identified university activities.

Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor requires possession of a Ph.D. or other appropriate terminal degree from a regionally accredited university in biology or in a related area. If not earned by the time of application, the degree must be conferred on or before August 1, 2023. Evidence of successful college-level teaching experience (1-2 years) is desired.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

DEPARTMENT DETAILS:

The department is one of the largest on campus and offers the B.S. in Agriculture degree with options in agribusiness management, agronomy, animal science and general agriculture, along with a B.S. in Biology with options in cell and molecular biology, organismal biology, and medical laboratory science. In addition, the department offers an A.S. in Allied Health Sciences, an A.A.S. in Radiologic Technology, and an A.A.S. in Respiratory Care. The department is housed in the Sciences Complex, which is a 90,000 ft2 facility opened in 1997 that provides classrooms, teaching laboratories, research space, and faculty offices. The department also oversees the operation of the Cameron University Farm, which includes dedicated facilities for instruction in animal science and plant science and greenhouses, along with maintenance and storage facilities. Two new teaching laboratories have been opened at the Cameron University campus in Duncan, OK and these provide laboratory space for teaching biology and chemistry courses that support the A.S. in Allied Health Sciences degree. GENERAL POSITION DESCRIPTION

The Director of Student Support Services manages the Student Support Services TRiO program at Cameron University. The director is responsible for the administration and oversight of program and personnel that ensure the efficient, equitable, and student-centered delivery of program services. RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities of the Director include, but are not limited to:

Compliance
• Maintain knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations as connected to postsecondary education, the federal Department of Education, and the TRiO program.
• Develop and manage budgets in alignment with federal program guidelines and university policy
• Collect and analyze program evaluation data and submit annual performance report
• Assess program activities and participate in the university assessment process
• Assist with the submission of federal, state, and institutional reports as required
• Write program grant proposals

Management
• Perform all appropriate administrative duties including, but not limited to, budget maintenance; personnel hiring, development, and evaluation; and departmental assessment

The department oversees the operation of the Cameron University Farm, which includes a full-time farm operator and has dedicated facilities for instruction in animal and plant science, along with maintenance and storage facilities. Native and improved pasture is available on University-owned and leased land, and animal handling and care equipment is available. The Cameron University Farm seasonally maintains cattle, hogs, and sheep, and has capacity to add other species to support the new faculty member’s research interests.

Minimum Qualifications:

Appointment at the rank of Assistant Professor, tenure-track requires possession of an earned Ph.D. or other terminal degree in animal science, agriculture, or a closely related discipline from an accredited university. ABD applicants will be considered. Evidence of successful college-level teaching experience is desired.

Preferred Qualifications:

Terminal degree in animal science, agriculture, or a closely related discipline. Experience in livestock management is preferred, as is experience mentoring undergraduate student research. Two or more years of college or university teaching experience is preferred.
