Fuji Inc. is a venture backed startup that runs... a fruit tea brand "ZERO&" and a bakery brand "Hanabi". We have a few exciting openings for the role "Launchers a.k.a. Operations Management Trainees" to join our growing business! Our vision is to make tasty and healthy food and beverage more accessible to everyone. We are now operating at San Francisco Premium Outlet and Stanford Shopping Center for fruit tea and bakery products, and we are on a mission to open dozens of locations in the next few years around the country to serve more customers. Please visit our website @ www.zeroand.com and www.enjoyhanabi.com to learn more about our product offerings.
Responsibilities
• For the first 3-6 months, work as an operations trainee in one of our existing stores to learn all things operations. We expect you to learn fast and grow fast - be store manager ready or at least shift lead ready asap
• After that, you will be transitioned into a role called launcher, to be responsible for one of our upcoming new locations in the pipeline. As a launcher, you'll be a temporary store manager for that new location to set up the whole operations, streamline the process, hire and develop new tearistas, and ideally get 2 shift leads ready for that store before you move on
• Until everything is in good shape operationally for this location (we think it's probably 3-6 months, it can vary), you'll then travel to the next location to help with opening another new store. In the first year or two, most of your re-locations will be here in the Bay Area, or at most LA area. Beyond 2023, other non-California locations (New York, Florida, Hawaii, Texas, Oregon, etc) might be available for you to launch
• You will be fully responsible for the success and timeline of new store launch
• You will work with the management team to define and optimize the launch plan and playbook
• You will work with internal & external teams to prepare and apply city permits, to coordinate store remodeling, to install store equipment, to prepare and organize daily store operations, etc.
• Hire, onboard and train new employees (e.g. shift leader, tearista, etc.); supervise the daily performance of new stores
• Be responsible for the new store's daily operations: quality and safety / sanitation controls; manage the inventory of supplies, lead daily drink operations and customer service
• Coordinate with landlord for site management and liase with ZERO&'s Head of operations
• Other operations projects / tasks as assigned
Job Requirement
• You are a fast learner, love new things
• You are a doer, not afraid of getting hands dirty
• You are passionate, ambitious and eager to grow
• You are self-motivated and rescilient
• Excellent communication, listening skills, and a great team player
• Result oriented and strong problem solving mindset
• Well organized and good analytical skills
• Flexibility to travel and re-locate to new locations
• Comfortable with multi-tasking, work under pressure and tight timeline
• California Food Handler Certificate
Things great to have, making you a bit stronger fit
• Past experience working in food and beverage stores as a store manager
• Understanding of health and safety protocols in food and beverage industry
• Experience to train, mentor and manage team members
• Food manager certification is preferred
• A second language in Spanish is a big plus
What you'll get
• Unparellel career path: to be a future operations leader at ZERO&! If you constantly perform well and deliver great results, you are fast tracked to be a store manager, well positioned to be a district manager to supervise more stores, potentially a state ops manager or a country manager as we get bigger
• Lots of free boba and cake tasting and more amazing innovative drinks and bakery items awaits! We constantly create new products. You'll be one of the first to try and a big part of refining it
• One additional round trip air tickets (between your home and store location) per year reimbursed if launching a new location 300 miles away (for you to be back and visit family / friends)
• If not passing the evaluation on month 3, you can still fall back to be a tearista or shift lead role Show more details...
