Position Qualifications:
• A degree in communications or journalism, or equivalent work experience.
• Two years in writing and reporting,
• Working knowledge of the Roman Catholic Church is necessary.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
• Experience with social media, or digital media, WordPress or other web content management is a plus.
• Use Microsoft Word and other word-processing programs
• Use Microsoft Outlook
• Be flexible and flourish on deadline
• Have a cursory knowledge of WordPress, blogging and production formats
• Understand video- and sound-editing software; experience with programs such as Final Cut, iMovie, GarageBand and Audacity are helpful, but not a normal part of the job responsibilities.
