And we help advertisers understand and harness the power of audio by measuring their ads' effectiveness, so the most engaging content gets rewarded. We're looking to... hire a data engineer with experience working with data streams at scale to ensure we can keep up with our customer growth. Why this role matters Our analytics infrastructure processes 10 billion
requests per month, and growing fast--driven by our podcast analytics, marketing attribution links ( SmartLinks ), and our advertising attribution product ( SmartAds ). We're racing to keep up with customer demand. We're a young company in a growing market, funded by top-tier investors including Initialized Capital, Naval Ravikant, Greycroft, Ryan Hoover, and others. You'll have the opportunity to own major parts of the product and the company, alongside great benefits (medical, dental, gym, vacation, etc), and a generous options grant. We don't care about where you went to school, or whether you have a Big Name on your r sum . We love to work with people who are driven, kind, and proactive. Though we're based in New York, we're open to working with anyone within the continental US. (We're unfortunately unable to accept international applicants.) You will Own our data processing infrastructure, including ingestion from RSS feeds, web pixels, and other data sources Work with the founders & other engineers to define and build our engineering culture Help define your projects and own their execution, from design brief to coding to launch and metrics Manage competing priorities against deadlines Take responsibility for the code you own and improve our codebase with your presence You have 4
years of experience managing data pipelines and ETL Experience working with AWS at scale Experience with Airflow (preferred), dbt or similar technologies Experience with Python and/or Ruby Preferably, experience with Snowflake and Postgresql A passion for optimization Very strong verbal and written communication skills (Native English proficiency not required) Ideally, a love of podcasting
