To meet these ambitious goals, we develop international partnerships and fundraising programs to raise the critical funds hospitals need to provide state-of-the-art medical care for kids. As a member of our team, you will play a significant role in helping 10 million kids who enter a CMN Hospital each year.

We are seeking a mature talented seasoned Sr. Director HR Generalist to join our team as we transition from a transactional to a transformative department. If you are looking to operate within an organization whose mission is to make a difference; please read on.

Responsibilities Include:
• Provides ongoing support to managers with employee relations, counseling, employee development, and corrective action issues. Provides guidance to managers in preparing performance improvement plans, disciplinary action, and terminations. This includes working with HR SVP in conducting internal investigations in conjunction with the appropriate resources and partnering with legal to ensure compliance with state and federal laws and company direction.
• Drives HR core processes to include performance management, employee engagement, change management, succession planning, salary planning, and payroll.
• Supports HR leadership in the development, communication, and implementation of programs that drive organizational culture and strategically maximize attraction, recruitment, and retention efforts. Measures performance through key HR performance indicators and business results.
• Maintains a current knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and takes action to ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance. This may entail auditing current programs and practices and modifying or implementing new programs or processes to achieve acceptable standards.
• Utilizing knowledge of employment compliance and best practices and through observing operations, assesses learning and development opportunities. Works through internal and external subject matter experts to design, develop and implement sustainable training and development programs for all levels throughout the organization that support the achievement of business objectives. Measures performance of efforts through key performance indicators. Will work closely with Experience Operations to ensure all training is properly scheduled and includes adult learning methodologies.
• Writes, revises, edits, and proofreads company policies & procedures and related documents as needed. Uses a variety of resources (i.e., SOAR, Slack Channels etc,) to communicate information.
• Works with managers to conduct job evaluations and analyses. Utilizes information to document job descriptions, draft job postings and support organizational design activities. Creates and manages the job description library.
• With HR SVP build a recruitment process to mine and keep talent
• On an ongoing basis, assesses the pulse of the organization to identify opportunities for increased employee engagement and alignment with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Recommends actions to effect positive change and implements as appropriate. Assessment may be accomplished through observation, interfacing with leaders and managers, reviewing analytics and key performance indicators, coaching and counseling and performing exit interviews.
• In the absence of HR SVP, acts as the key HR point of contact.
• Performs other duties as assigned or apparent.

Supervisory and Managerial Responsibility
• This position does not have direct supervisory responsibility but does lead, counsel, and mentor others throughout the organization.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education, Licensure, or Certification:
• Knowledge or general business administration as normally obtained through the completion of a degree in business administration is required.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources is preferred.
• A PHR, SHRM CP, or SHRM SCP preferred

Work Experience or Related Experience:
• A minimum of five years of professional-level HR Generalist experience. Experience in a multi-site, multi-state organization is preferred
• Proven successful experience in coaching, interviewing and selection, performance management, and training
• Knowledge of and proven experience administering a broad range of HR functions, programs, and practices
• Demonstrated experience facilitating organizational change and fostering a connection between business objectives and human resources activities

Specialized Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
• A strong knowledge and understanding of employment law is required
• The ability to work effectively and relate well with others including executives, senior leaders, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the organization. The ability to exhibit professionalism, inspire respect and credibility and deal with others to maintain constructive working relationships is required
• Experience with UKG/UltiPro HRIS system is a plus
• With SR Director HR to create and maintain a positive employee relations environment throughout complex and changing situations
• Effective listening skills, with flexibility in approach to solutions
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills
• Skillful in resolving conflicts quickly and with win-win solutions/outcomes
• A basic understanding of the operations of CMN Hospitals is preferred
• The ability to be proactive and self-directed utilizing good time management, decision-making and organization skills is required. Incumbents must be able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Must have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
