Major Duties & Responsibilities

Strategy Leader

Own and Operationalize Cincinnati Children's Supplier Diversity Strategy by coordinating organization-wide efforts related to diverse supplier identification, development, utilization, and certification. Manage reporting of diverse spend, both internally and externally. Develop and maintain the diverse supplier community within CCHMC's Supply Base. Work within Supply Chain to perform analyses to ensure contract price is honored and vendor performance monitored.

Partnership

Engage with internal and external Leaders to support and promote Supplier Diversity at Cincinnati Children's. Engage in community partnerships, agencies, and committees to build awareness of current opportunities within CCHMC and/or developmental opportunities for future engagement and to promote CCHMC's commitment to Supplier Diversity within Greater Cincinnati. Partner with vendors to design approaches, develop processes, implement, and evaluate results for optimal performance.

Performance Management

Direct the development and monitoring of Supply Chain Management's Value Analysts, including support of local and GPO contract compliance and upcoming sourcing opportunities, workforce planning and effective performance management of direct reports.

Consulting

Act as a liaison to the Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, Community Relations, and Sustainability. Partner with suppliers by employing knowledge and skills to recommend and support process improvements for diverse capital procurement and contract management. Contract with suppliers and conduct situation analyses. Bring projects to successful closure.

Relationship Management

Lead ongoing research, analysis, and reporting of leading edge, best practices, and benchmarking relating to supplier initiatives.

Serve as a supplier diversity expert and a resource to leaders within Cincinnati Children's. Establish and maintain ongoing relationships with peers and partners in key organizations and companies that excel in diversity contracting.

• Working knowledge of Diversity Management, Development and Organization Development, Capital Procurement and Contracting programs. Proficiency using a Supplier Management System to support diverse sourcing and program analytics.

•Accreditation/ Regulatory/Compliance
Update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as required when regulation and system changes dictate. Assist with revenue distribution models for executed agreements to ensure that financials are distributed in compliance with the CCHMC policy. Identify opportunities on an ongoing basis to improve compliance with agreement obligations, including milestones, reporting, and invoicing.

•Supply Ordering and Materials
Perform tasks related to receiving, storing and distributing of products, materials, equipment and supplies. Maintain a working knowledge of supplies. Make recommendations for additions, deletions or changes in par levels based on knowledge of supplies needed and usage. Order stock and non-stock items associated with assigned areas. Check goods received against purchase orders, invoices, records and budget. Deliver materials to appropriate area and store. Monitor the day-to-day material/supply inventory in assigned areas. Manage inventory and ordering including but not limited to garnering quotes for furniture, medical equipment; or new construction items. Manage storage/deployment. Organize inventory and maintain accuracy, which may include purchases, rentals, loss prevention and removal of equipment. Schedule pick-up and delivery of equipment as needed. May work with vendors regarding functionality needs, coordinate implementation of new software and upgrades with IS, update processes and communicate changes to department and other stakeholders. May analyze, test and implement existing or new vendor software solutions that fulfill business needs or improve existing processes.
