Columbia International University is seeking a biomedical sciences faculty member. The faculty member will instruct lecture and lab courses in genetics, cell biology and biochemistry to biology and biomedical/health sciences majors. The ability to supervise undergraduate research is preferred. The faculty must be able to advance the evangelical Christian mission of the institution. The faculty... member will instruct and advise science majors and collaborate with other faculty in administering goals, program development, and program activities. Teaching load is 24 semester hours annually.
SOME REQUIREMENTS ARE:
• Provide support for biology, biomedical sciences, and health science majors and general education core.
• Assist regularly with assessment of CIU's science curriculum.
• Teach up to eight (8) college level courses per year (24 semester hours) across the fields of genetics, cell biology and biochemistry lecture and laboratory courses, and general biology and/or anatomy & physiology depending on background.

The communication faculty member will teach courses in the areas of media, social media, integrative marketing, public relations, human communication and related areas. Faculty must be able to advance the evangelical Christian mission of the institution. The faculty member will instruct and advise strategic communication majors and collaborate with other faculty in administering goals, program development, and program activities. Programs in the division include strategic communication, graphic design and digital media & cinema. Teaching load is 24 semester hours annually.
Responsibilities
• Provide support for strategic communication, graphic design, and digital media & cinema majors and general education core
• Teach up to eight (8) college level courses per year (24 semester hours) across the field of communication including courses in the areas of social media, media, public relations, integrative marketing and human communication.
• Advise students within the communication as needed
• Interact with prospective students as needed
• Endorse and model professional standards and proficiencies
• Serve on committees as assigned within the university
• Assist regularly with assessment of CIU's communication curriculum
• Participate in faculty meetings at the college and university level; attend other appropriate events including chapel, conferences, and student events
